Hey guys just purchased 2 day license and first time trying to login to FDRS and I’m getting “User authentication failed”.
Using Windows 11.
Checked my credentials on the ford service site.
I’ve seen people having problems with the latest FDRS version 40.4.5 but can’t find where to download an earlier version.
any help would be much appreciated!!

Hey there, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to this wonderful community for their amazing input! With their help, I was able to apply updates to my truck using a Mongoose and FDRS. However, after a day and a half of non-stop updating, I ran into a little snag with the BCM (G2161053-21.000). It's asking me to log in as an Automotive Security Professional, but I'm not sure how to do that. Do you guys know of any workarounds, or should I just head to the dealership? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

The ACM does not clear after you update it for many people including myself.

The BCM issue is a new one that popped up recently. After talking to Jesse about it, he thinks it is an issue with FDRS that Ford needs to fix. It should be asking for those credentials unless you are trying to program keys. I know if it affecting F150's and Lightnings and possible other vehicles, as well.

I did click the link and registered but didn’t work when I tried to login with it so I moved on to other modules while I still had time.
My license expired so I’ll have to try again next time.

The reason I asked when your license expired because you aren't on the latest Sync version. However, in your case, that is the latest available until Ford releases more; there is nothing that can be done to get you to the latest for now. Nothing to worry about.....eventually it will be released and you will get it OTA or be able to do it yourself with FDRS.

I’m just glad I was able to get the truck further updated for now!! Spent a ton of late night hours to get it done. Still had like 8 things to update I got some updates I was looking forward to like full screen CarPlay and on the FordApp it now says active for BlueCruise. Not really 100% sure if I have it or what but it didn’t say active before.

Do I need to worry about the BCM?? I want to update everything I can.

also…how do I get the cameras in motion thing I’ve been reading about?

I would not worry about the BCM. It will probably come in via OTA.

If you registered for the free NASTF membership, I wouldn’t expect it to work. According to the pop-up you received, you have to be registered as a Vehicle Security Professional (VSP). VSP registration is not free and it is open only to professionals, like locksmiths, who pay a fee and go through a vetting process. https://sdrm.nastfsecurityregistry.org/dotorg/landing

In any event, this requirement will probably be removed by Ford at some point. It is new and probably an error. I did not have to enter any credentials the last time I updated my BCM.
