This is as far as I get. All day - Version 37, 38, 39, all the same.

I got that exact screen several times yesterday, but each time it eventually worked. I personally don't think for me the issue was on my end. But I also had the confidence that I was using a computer and FDRS that has functioned properly just a couple of weeks ago.

I just logged in & it asked for the activation code but since I'm not actually trying to update I logged out

Good news, updates now in progress. I started again on a different laptop, first with a very old version 34, then with version 37.4.7 as suggested by Gord0. I could intermittently get FDRS to connect at that point. My original laptop still will not connect, even with the old versions, but the one I stole from my son is presently working.

Sounds like something weird with the laptop. Getting connected on Sundays can be difficult but good that you were able to start.

Can I get by with a 10 amp charger? If not anyone know of a good 20amp maintainer under $100?

On a Powerboost, you'd likely be ok. Regular ICE trucks, make sure your battery is at 100% before you start and if you have to do a long CAN update, maybe either start with it or give the battery time to recharge if you've been going for a little bit.

Familiar sight around here. Without the help of this great thread I wouldn't be sitting here getting this girl up to date with the kids playing on their tablets in the back seat. Thanks to everyone who made this possible for me! Here's to hoping all goes well, but knowing if it doesn't I have the best help in the business to get me back on track!

PB owner here. FWIW I used a cheap 8 amp charger when I did all my updates a few months ago. I think you’ll be fine with 10 A.
