I updated this morning and used it to take a f550 out of shipping mode and did not have any issues... but also did not try to update any modules... on a side note... I really cant believe how many chassis cabs we get in here that have so many updates pending right from the factory..
I pulled the VIN from a 2024 F150 that is in transit from the factory to the dealer and it was also showing pending updates already. Happens all the time.

Wife gets home from work and I'm sitting in my truck in the driveway. Then we both go inside and I head over to my laptop and put a flash drive in and format it. She asks with a slightly confused look what I'm doing. "I'm just formatting this flash drive. I used it to manually update my truck with a file from a random guy online so that it will hopefully start receiving updates automatically". I got a blank stare and no more questions ?. Mongoose arrives tomorrow.

Good luck, Sir. I started in the exact same place a little more than 2 1/2 years ago, with that same usb stick! then the mongoose and everything's been fine ever since.

The only time something will show in vehicle history is if somebody pulls up your truck in PTS or does anything with FDRS.

Right now, there is something wrong. I don't know what it is, but you are on Sync 21059 which is the same software your truck left the factory and I don't remember ever seeing that Sync version before. I don't know if the issue lies on your truck itself, or on the server where the next update you need to progress is not showing for some reason. As far as I know, the Raptors don't have any different sync versions that the regular F150's. I would try messaging Jesse on Monday when he is back in the office and has access to all his resources so he can take a look.
Add me to the list of people bailed out by @Jesse-Infotainment, my truck is completely up to date. Honestly it was much easier than I expected. I ran into a couple issues where I had no new updates showing, but Jesse was able to get things moving along with some wizardry and I eventually got everything complete! Big thanks @Jesse-Infotainment; @Ford Motor Company should put you on some compensation model every time you help a Ford vehicle owner out. I could easily see myself getting fed up with with the lack of support from my dealer regarding updates and also being unable to fix issues on my own. If you weren't available as a resource to help, it would be very easy to throw in the towel and move on to another brand of vehicle... and make sure all my friends and family knew why I left Ford. Fortunately I'm going stay with my Ford truck now. Thanks again, and thanks to all the rest of the people that contributed to this thread along the way!

OK, everybody, I'm getting the dreaded "cannot reach FDRS servers" message when trying to login to FDRS. Any help is greatly appreciated. Here's what I've done so far:
1. Installed FDRS 39.6.8 (latest release, 18 March)
2. Selected "Independente Operator/Non-Dealer" and "USA".
3. Hit Log In and get the message.
4. Tried un-installing and re-installing 4 times. Tried installing "VCI" software because it was complaining about it.
5. Tried creating a new Motorcraft account and being logged in while running FDRS.
Is anyone else having issues today?

I heard that version has/had a issue. Try an older version. Also check you internet protection. I have an old pc with no protection just for FDRS and Forscan. I also keep a few older versions install programs on the HD just in case I have to roll it back.

Thanks! Just tried downloading and installing FDRS 38.5.7.
Still can't log in, but now when I run the test under "Network Diagnostics", it is showing "fail" for the login servers and FDSP connection. License server is "pass".

Can anyone out there confirm whether they can connect to the login servers this morning, especially if you're running an older version? Would like to know if it's my machine or network, or if the Ford servers are down.

  1. uninstall FDRS
  2. reboot computer
  3. download and save FDRS from here https://www.motorcraftservice.com/diagnostic/Support?channelId=50&categoryId=276
  4. once the download is complete100%, do not open the file.
  5. go to your DOWNLOADS folder and right click on FDRS 38.5.7 then select Run As Administrator to start the installation.
  6. go to www.motorcraftservice.com using MS Edge browser and login. then minimize the browser window..
  7. launch FDRS, select INDEPENDETN OPERATOR/NON-DEALER as a user type, country = USA, click on Login tab.
  8. login using the same email address and password of motorcraftservice.com.

Thanks, Jesse. Tried all that, in that order, very carefully. Still getting a "cannot reach FDRS servers" message and never get a chance to log in. I'm assuming you are able to log in just fine today?

I had to fight login issues several times yesterday and last night.
And that's from the same pc I have done many FDRS sessions from previously.
So yesterday wasn't the best day for troubleshooting login issues, in my opinion.
I wasted a bit of time and effort myself swapping FDRS versions across a couple of different laptops. I think it was on Ford's end all along

I have seen where certain regions have issues while others do not

Frustration level is rising, and license time is ticking by while not being able to actually use the software license I purchased...not really happy with Ford right now.

More things I've been trying:
Started completely over on a totally different computer, using a totally different internet connection (mobile hotspot this time). Still used the same log in, and successfully transferred the same FDRS license to the new computer.
Same result - "cannot reach the FDRS servers". Network tests are now consistently "pass" (had some fails earlier) but not able to log in. FDRS WILL take me to the Dealer website to attempt login that way, but will not do it with non-dealer selection.
