Thanks Jesse - I wonder why that would have changed. It is not like I use it much. Is there anyway to see when the As-builts were changed? I have only LOOKED at Forscan connected to my truck, but have made any changes yet. Going slow. Making changes is on my to do list.

EDIT: checked As Builts... not even close to what is needed.
I'm just learning about Forscan and a lot of the lingo. I made the change using Forscan and Livinitups spreadsheet to enable camera in motion but I too only see the rear camera. Can you explain what you checked and why? Thank you.

Only the rear camera(s) can be viewed while in motion.

Original as-built data is the data contained within the modules that the truck was built with. This info changes when updates are done (either OTA or FDRS) and/or when FORScan changes are made to modules. The changes in as-built data with Ford's servers do not change instantly. Once a change is made in the data at the vehicle level, the changes will be reflected in Ford's servers once the vehicle syncs up with the servers. That can take days, weeks or a month or more to happen. Changes made to the modules will eventually become the new as-build data.

This is not my area of expertise, so if I am wrong, someone feel free to chime in.

Not entirely true. If your truck is equipped with rock crawling mode (in the driving mode selector) you can also get front cameras.

Best to post about that in the Forscan thread where the experts in that area lurk.

Not that we don't want to help but it will be more visible there. :)

I'm a sucker for pain so I tried the BCM update and it failed 3x already but the truck still works. Won't reprogram it for some reason and does some really funky things trying.

Mine went through. A weird and initially unsettling configuration error at the tail end of the programming cycle threw a bunch of communication DTCs but it turned out to be nothing. No U2100/initial configuration codes requiring a PMI, update cleared the FDRS queue, five DIDs changed and one press of clear and retest wiped all the DTCs. Everything works and no new codes for two days so far. I wouldn’t recommend it for the faint of heart, however, unless you’re trying to fix something and need to do it.

Probably just wait to see if that BCM comes OTA so I can blame Ford if it breaks the truck. :)

I'm sure notes will say the usual making future updates easier to update in the future.

Any chance I might be able to get someone to send me the APIM update for my truck. My last update was blank. Thought I unstuck my truck but my last update came through with no details just blank.

Or if not maybe a little insight on why nothing has come through since.

I sold my mongoose thinking I had the issue solved.

Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I intend to file a class action suit. I am the owner of a 2021 Bloc 1 F-150 which has hung up on an update and I'm not buying a mongoose or voiding my warranty trying self-repair. If you would like to join call me at 850-739-6970 or via email at [email protected]

I’ll be rooting for you but don’t expect you to get very far. Borrowing a cable and spending $50 and a few hours seems like much less of a hassle and you won’t void your warranty.

Best of luck to you, but unless your billable rate is like 2¢/hr, it will be faster, cheaper, and easier to just DIY.

I'm not even mad at him. I still find trucks stuck on Sync 20301 on an almost daily basis. To my knowledge, Ford has never acknowledged the issue or provided any real fix for this even for trucks still under warranty. If I was stuck on Sync 20301, I would sign up.

I am a retired attorney and find your solicitation on this forum unseemly. On my own behalf only, this is to advise you that I am reserving all rights under Rule 23 to oppose certification and affirmatively opt out of any certified class.
