Gotta agree except the 2022 Job 1 trucks snuck in under the constraints, for the most part. And even the very earliest 2022 Job2 (April) got built with only the Park Assist chip missing.
Everything else, including even multicontour seats made it into a few.

I often pinch myself.

the park assist one is interesting. Probably one of the most sought after features but also one of the most useless. Nothing more than a party trick (when you can get it to work without someone driving by and having to start over!)

I have to admit. Ive been shocked at how many have added it.

I wouldn't add it for Park Assist.
But I might at some point add it for Hitch Assist, just to dazzle my 92 year old dad. He'd get a kick out of the truck putting itself under the coupler hands free.

But he already just shakes his head at 50 different things I've shown him.

I speak from experience with the last part. It really has to be the perfect storm for it to work. The places you would want to use it- busy cities and packed parking lots, it’s useless.

What would cause a new module to fail to program? Ford has tried two new HCMs and neither one will reprogram.

Well odds are you don't have 3 bad HCMs.
Maybe you should return all AsBuilt to factory, but I don't see why that would stop a PMI procedure?

Well odds are you don't have 3 bad HCMs.

I am thinking the module is losing communication which is why I alway have headlight problem when it gets colder outside. The PMI just copies the exact some info from the old module to the new one doesn't it?

This truck only has headlight issues when it is cold outside which started again last week so something is failing and is temperature dependent. Ford is trying to fix it with a new HCM because they said the one in it was bad.

It’s failing because there is no software package available for whatever reason. They are getting a flash action error I’m betting

they won’t be able to flash it. They need to call engineering and ask them why there is no software available for the hcm.

I don’t know why it was pulled from your vin it typically only happens when the wrong software is installed but yours is what it is supposed to be.

until they get the software package back it will not program.
I can flash it if you get it back at some point .

I think Jesse is saying that FDRS isn't being given access to any files for it to write to the HCM.

It's like the software isn't in the software library. An unusual scenario.

THey have no decision in the matter. What Im saying is there is no software assigned to your truck for the HCM

When they go to flash they get an error because there is no software available to flash.

That's really strange. When the truck was brand new, it had to go back for a recall involving rewriting all the as built data to the truck because a bunch of stuff was acting funny.

It's great to see another 2021 coming out of its comatose state! The 21's are the best Ford ever built! Zero option deletes

That's why I bought used 2021 this spring instead of new. Not only cheaper from being used but I have everything and don't have to mess with adding on.

Only thing missing is Bluecruise (don't want) and the thing to park itself and I'm not sure if that can be added. I got 360 cameras I'll be fine.
