Damn them OTA lol

Thank you Mike for the quick response. Do I just pay the 50$ to download to a usb or do I buy a mongoose and my knowledge is very limited too this coming from a 18 GMC. Is this a good update or should I wait?

Nah it’s about $600 to get started if you buy the mongoose and the 2 day license. Honestly, I would spend the money to update those, especially knowing that the BCM update is a crapshoot. BUT I wouldn’t say you shouldn’t spend the money if you wanted to take control

Is getting fullscreen Carplay/AA worth the money to update now or just wait a bit longer? Could be days, weeks, or months but they'll figure it out and pushed it via OTA............

I look at it this way.... I have owned at least 40 Ford vehicles in my life, and I will have many more (hopefully, lol). I spent the money so I can do what I want, when I want, if I want, for ANY of the vehicles I want.

It's another tool for the tool box......wall.

But seriously, if it's something you'll use more than once, and again on a different vehicle, it's not money wasted, it's money invested.

Yep same here. Yeah $500 sucks for an adapter, but I’ve been able to help a half dozen friends get their F150’s updated along with my own. Money well spent in my book.

LOL - What a joke. APIM update

Tried 4 different samsung USB drives, all good drives I use for various things
"USB not compatible" on truck's screen.

Took a cheap chinese 16GB no name USB drive, formatted it the same as the others, copied files over from samsung USB drive, and it updated successfully.

What does this symbol mean?

My owner's manual says it means "Stop safely" and the text reads "Illuminates if an electrical component requires service or a failure that causes your vehicle to shutdown or enter into a limited operating mode."

It's in the manual. Did you see any other alerts with it because it basically telling you to stop driving your vehicle.
