I almost always lock from handle. When I lock from the Fob it stows. and I believe stay stowed. Ill have to double check today. They work awesome. I find it odd they deploy right after I lock.

I believe there’s an SSM for what you are experiencing. Check out SSM 50211. It advises reprogramming the DSM.

I've been back and forth with the dealership and Ford corporate getting the updates done and modules replaced. Can someone try running my VIN and let me know what updates are still pending?

When updating DDM and PDM I read on one post about initialization for both modules from the task window on the right side. I did the update and could not find anything to click to initialize them post update. what am I not seeing for this. Also it appears that my APIM is locked out. Received this message "Exception trying to obtain diagnostic files from the back end server required to repair this vehicle. This could indicate the VIN has been locked out." While trying TSB 22-2150. Does this mean the APIM needs replacement or will this clear after 20 days.

Before trying to reinitialize the DDM/PDM check your auto up/down function. If it’s working correctly for both the driver and passenger windows, you probably don’t need to do anything more. If you do need to recalibrate these functions, or if something else isn’t working quite right, the tool you need can be found by clicking the module in the list on the left hand side of the screen. That will bring up a set of tools for just that module.

As for the APIM, you probably are out of luck for 20 days and then you can try again. But ping @Jesse-Infotainment to confirm. He might know if there’s a workaround short of waiting or replacing the module.

I too received that error message when doing tsb2150. Sorry to say I am still stuck. The dealership, software engineering, esculations with OTA and the TCA center could not get around a new apim has been ordered a month ago still awaiting my new apim. Jesse might have a work around but it will some hardware work.

Do they just not like you at that dealership or have you ticked off the service manager or the tech?

Clearly you aren't getting OTAs, so you could bring it in to get the updates applied using FDRS because you aren't getting OTAs for some reason.

That would be the "customer complaint" in this case I think. Right?

So at my dealership I called them regarding 22B08 which basically stated TCU and APIM update. So I called to schedule it and they are like if there isn't a problem, we don't touch it.

Well, it says internal error on the TCU without getting OTA's... and I still haven't even got an OTA after fixing the 1.7.1 issue myself. So I explained this to the service rep, and that software can and does break with out telling you. I knew in FDRS I had both a TCU/APIM update pending.

They don't want to touch it without a bang light of some sort. Really annoying. The notice was "just in case any issues come up". Okay, sure, thanks buddy.

They were about as useless as tits on a bull. So I just updated it myself. Everyone in this thread should be getting a life time sub to FRDS...

Seems like the dealership I've been going to is about as useless as tits on a bull when it comes to the software piece.

You folks getting these responses from dealers really need to file a complaint with Ford. The dearship cannot make the claim go away unless they take action.

In all fairness, dealerships can't just take your truck in, put it in a bay, and then spend 2 days sitting in it installing every update FDRS offers.
Can you imagine Ford getting that invoice for thousands upon thousands of 2021 F150's?

They ain't going to pay the dealerships for that.

OTA is the intended delivery mechanism. It's Ford's fault that any of us have to use FDRS in our driveway or at the dealership.

Don't misunderstand, I'm not ranting. Instead I'm thrilled that I can just take care of things myself!

Can someone please check my VIN, 1FTFW1E89MFA78177 , and confirm the dealer, in fact, completed the PCM, APIM and TCU updates?

I have had PowerUp OTA 2.1.1 fail 4 times. Carried the truck to dealer yesterday. He replaced the battery and said he updated the PCM, APIM and TCU. He could not get the GWM to update.
