Back in early 2021 the addition of Securilert was,the first OTA that my truck had ever received. Ford touted the point of adding new features with its OTA system. I thought this is great! Fast forward 2 years and they remove it. Nothing said, Crickets from Ford on the removal. Very disappointing ?

I did the CMR update (among a bunch of others) this past Tuesday. I've only driven once briefly since then with Blue Cruise engaged. I'm also hopeful this improves things.

I'm usually a roll with the punches guy, and I have no choice but to take this one like everyone else. But I'm disappointed that the alerts are going to be nixed once the update arrives.

FordPass was mostly a novelty with my previous trucks. But something I felt was a real added value to the Gen14 with the Bluetooth enhanced functionality of ProPower, Securilert, Maintenance records with receipts....

One by one Securilert is backtracking to novelty status. I'm sure if we knew the real or whole story, it might make some sense. But it feels like Ford is crying U N C L E. Giving up on their ambitious vision, rather than plowing ahead through the challenges.

Small “improvement” as of this morning. Ford released a new FordPass app eliminating that annoying “charging/not plugged in” notification.

It may have been one of the other updates. I have had 3 of them come through in the past 3 days. What would I need to do to have you investigate the issue? I have done a soft reset with no luck but not a master reset.

The guys on the VIN lookup thread checked for updates available still and it showed a TCU available so there might be another OTA coming. My VIN is 1FTFW1E13MFB77676 if you want to look around and see what Ford did wrong with one of the updates.

That won’t fix the map issue unfortunately.

I do not know honestly. I would lean more towards not but Maybe give it some time before you do it.
