Sync 23031, which I think is the FDRS equivalent of 4.2.2, was available for ‘21s as of last Friday. I thought 4.2.2.2 was just for the Mach-E.

Weird. Description in the screenshot sounds like what was done in 4.2.2.

After waiting 10 minutes, it keeps telling me restart required. To complete the update, restart the vehicle. Does this mean I need to use the CAN BUS method?

The second GWM is much smaller. Brace yourself for the APIM update—over 6GB. It’s gonna take awhile.

No. What happens when you start the vehicle? Not just the ignition, full restart oif the engine (KOEO)?

Now nothing has popped up on the screen about the USB or the software update.

Give it another five. If nothing pops up, remove the USB and tell FDRS the update was successful. Only say it was not successful if you see an error message. That’s what the instructions should say on your laptop screen.

Leave the engine running until FDRS tells you the application is completed. Just follow the prompts, exactly as FDRS tells you to.

Yes, that's what they say. The first time I only put the ignition to on because that is what the Google doc guide said. It has been 10 minutes and still nothing.
