Does Any one know the exact settings needed when updating FDRS with this particular charger? I have a standard battery that cones with the Ford 150 2021 Power boost

During programming, press the volts button until the PWR SUPPLY LED is lit. Press start.

Has anyone noticed any changes with the latest GSM update? Shifting etc.
Do you mean transmission shifts? Or just the Park-Reverse-Neutral-Drive behavior?

I thought the GSM update only dealt with the latter. The PCM update(s) addressed the former.

Regardless, I never had the issue of the shifter locking up in park so I can’t say I’ve noticed a difference with the GSM update. But it’s a good precaution.

I am using FDRS to complete about 40ish updates I have. I started with the GWM module A software update. It’s been about an hour since I’ve inserted the usb and it says system updating. Still no prompt to turn vehicle off. Is this normal ?

An hour for the GWM does seem a bit long, did you get the message which stated it was updating? At some point you will get the ability to click on the updating bubble and see a % complete, so see if you can get that screen to pop up.

I just updated today from 22177_PRODUCT, Revision 473 to 22293_PRODUCT, Revision 610 which required two GWM updates.

The first went like this:
  • 12:36pm - Started update
  • 12:48pm - USB stick created and inserted into truck.
  • 12:49pm - Truck recognized USB stick and doing its thing.
  • 12:55pm - Truck asked for restart. I turn off truck.
  • 1:08pm - I turn truck back on.
  • 1:09pm - Update completed successfuly.
Directly after that I did the first APIM update of the day. After the APIM update I had almost the same software version as before, but a new GWM update appeared. The total time is still ~25min:
  • 2:11pm - Started 2nd GWM update.
  • 2:14pm - USB stick created and inserted into truck,
  • 2:28pm - Truck asks for restart, turned off truck and walked away.
  • 2:33pm - Turned truck back on.
  • 2:36pm - Update completed successfully.

40 updates?! On one vehicle or is this for more than one?

If you count the modules that chain after an update, GWM triggers an APIM and so on, ya 40 for a 2021 truck isn't unreasonable at all.
Yea I guess I hadn't considered all of that.

@Jesse-Infotainment good morning is safe to deploy?

Screenshot 2023-02-20 082058.png
Hi. Sorry I have been busy and I was traveling last weekend and got back late monday. SO I have been backed up with everything

This BCM update is the update that went out and was blowing up headlamp module. I rolled my BCM back and got it again via OTA. My first OTA in over a year.

I have heard from a few that got it OTA that no issues including me. A couple had the headlamps that were having issues. They said no issue in the OTA

They did change the deployment. The old update had a new strategy file install and then a new package. Now they are installing it in one shot.

So I dont want to say yes or no.. last time it was bad. All i can say I havent heard anything bad about it yet.
