Up and running! Couldn’t wait for OTA updates.
Glad to see you took my advice and come over here. Like I said on the other forum: Lots of very helpful and knowledgeable guys on here.

...there's another forum?
Yea, the general F150 forum. This one is more focused on our generation of trucks. Plus, they use the old forum platform and you're limited to how many messages you can have. For people like myself and others that help people, that becomes very tedious. I have to empty my inbox twice a week and then I lose my convos with people and forget the last thing we spoke about and it's just a PITA.

I’m in the middle of APIM update, got the usb in the truck, showing system updating in the top right corner.
With
ignition is ON & Engine is ON, Truck is just running in the garage with the garage door open.

what is the timeframe in this stage?

You can touch Sync screen on top of "system updating" and get a progress pop-up.
Although it has a pretty big lag

From my experience, each time I touched it, the pop-up would show the file progress. Example 10/40
But it wouldn't progress before my eyes, so I would close it and retouch/launch the pop-up and it might be 20/40........

Basically 0% refresh rate. :(

But I don't know what to tell you with zero progress showing.

Sometimes you gotta play it by ear. I've gotten away with a few risky retries, if you know what I mean.

Are you sure 40/40 doesn't mean all 40 files have been copied to the GWM? And now it's applying those files?

Maybe someone with better memory than this old man can jump in.

What version are you upgrading from? I think there’s one particular version that takes up to a month to kick off
That's for those stuck at 1.7.x power up and a blank schedule in Sync Update screen.

Any suggestions? Should I let it be and wait it out or should I restart the truck? or what's the route to restart this process?

If you do decide to try again, I would personally let the truck go to sleep before starting a second try.
In other words, not less than 75 minutes with the truck shutdown, locked, and FOB far away.

The 75 minutes is actually from the factory service manual for the suggested amount of time to wait before troubleshooting a parasitic draw. According to Ford, it can take upto 75 minutes for the truck to be completely shut down.

It's just a single strategy that a patient old man might try. If you aren't as patient, at least shut the truck down and perhaps do an APIM and Gateway reset in Forscan? Then try again?

I personally think that you should see at least some movement on the progress pop-up supporting the fact that files are being copied. I don't think anything is happening until file copying begins?
