Connected Navigation and SiriusXM force removal

@Vin - Mine also had the raptor graphic removal, but I believe that was because it gets replaced with the Sport logo and in your case its the STX logo. I don't think that's a negative removal, but that's just in my research.

Sorry. I was being a smart @$$. My truck is a base model and I can't imagine why they would need to delete anything "Raptor" related. ?

Here's my gripe.....
It's one thing to state in writing what Ford has officially "deleted", but it's another thing entirely to put into writing a CLEAR understanding of what IS actually deleted.

The confusion is 100% a result of terrible marketing names and descriptions.

Seriously? So the consumer is expected to not only pick up on the fact that those are NOT the same thing, but then when each is described in detail, there's STILL no clear differences. It's actually laughable if you can avoid being irritated.

The marketing folks, or whoever decides on the naming conventions for features at Ford are horrible at product differentiation. A fundamental marketing skill.

They know what they’re doing, it’s call obfuscation (aka con job, rip off). But they are NOT the same. One is priced more per day than the other (the rip off is “built in” to the price).

Scheduled for the week of July 11, but my window sticker is available and the tracker now says "In Production".

Although the Tracker says that Sirius/XM with 360L audio remains, Window Sticker shows only an AM/FM radio. No credit for the removal on the sticker. They just lowered the STX Black Package price by $35. WTF

Well that sucks. Is there a Sirius xm app that I can use? There’s several channels I listen to instead of using my phones music.

Yep, SiriusXM has an app you can stream with. I think the main drawback there is if you loose phone reception you lose radio.

My understanding it that you can still use Sirius through android/apple auto but its not integrated.

Afterall, there's fellas on this forum with enough of that kind of savvy that they have XL trim trucks with Bluecruise. There's some very smart and determined folks here.

The Ford Service Workshop Manual and wiring diagrams give a hint at what's likely needed to accomplish that retrofit. The detail in those resources relating to Sirius capability is truly extensive and complex, here's just one tiny general overview excerpt:

Satellite Radio (if equipped)​

Satellite signals collected by the satellite radio antenna can be selected and played back over the audio system. The satellite antenna sends satellite radio and GPS data through the satellite radio cable to a splitter (integrated into the cable).The satellite radio signals are separated by the splitter and sent to the satellite radio receiver within the ACM.​

So the Sirius receiver itself is integral with the ACM (Audio Control Module) but there are many other components scattered throughout the vehicle (and interconnecting harnesses) supporting that capability. One might reasonably wonder which and how many of those components are 'missing' in builds which suffer the Sirius removal by Ford. Then there's the associated module programming ....

I'm with @Snakebitten, there's bound to be some folks with the motivation, skills, tenacity, tools, and adequate budget who could figure this all out and accomplish the retrofit / 'restore' Sirius capability. Methinks one or more of those prerequisites is far beyond we mere mortals.

Although my order said "Sync 4 w/Sirius XM 360L" but my Window Sticker just said "Sync 4" and "AM/FM Radio", my truck was delivered today and included Nav and Sirius XM. According Ford's previous release, it should have been removed. Good, clean living I guess.

OK. It wasn't removed. Just letting some of the members here know that there is still hope. My dealer told me to expect it to be removed.
