I swap between factory 22s in the summer and factory 18s in winter. No real noticeable difference in ride quality. Due to the heavier setup of the 22s the do a bit worse in town for mpgs but seem to be as good or better on the highway. Tires are a factor in all of this as well.

Thanks! Ultimately the ford performance lowering kit is the direction I'm going to go. Curious how much is the dealer charging for installation. We're going to need pics. Block removal is an interim solution and really hope it doesn't mess with the warranty.

Don't do it. It will dull the area and make it look much worse. I'd just add a matte screen protector and call it a day.
