CARB told SFGATE via email “there is no motorhome ban.” A system of credits allows manufacturers who can’t meet the requirements to buy credits from those that do, giving them “the flexibility needed to sell as many internal combustion engines as is needed to meet market demands,” said spokesperson Lys Mendez. According to the board, manufacturers can also focus ZEV production on other vehicle types where that technology is more viable to meet the requirements.

more CA bafoonery. the people buying a Provost or similar multi million dollar motorhome already go out of state to avoid sales tax, then they license it in Montana to avoid the stupid DMV costs.
now they are going after the poor schmuck that buys a simple class B unit. So they will just drive to AZ to buy it, again avoiding CA sales tax.

buyjng carbon credits doesn’t do anything other than enrich the carbon exchanges. Last I recall, more than half of the dollars that go into the carbon exchanges are vacuumed up by middleman and very few dollars actually go to pay farmers in Brazil to not farm, for example.

And I can say the same about much of Mexico.
Both have paradise potential.
