I’m on the fence on buying the extended ESP warranty now or before my warranty expires.
I own 2024 KR with 18k miles on clock and have gotten quotes already from out of state Ford dealers (Z). The price of such will go up I know but still having approximately 2 years remaining (low mileage driver) should I wait or bite the bullet now saving money by not waiting?
My last F150 was 2014 Platinum orig owner w/84K miles and before that I owned a 1999 F150 Lariat orig owner w/94K miles.
Neither of those had extended warranty’s!
Your thoughts
Thanks

With all the advanced tech with the PB along with the out of pocket cost to replace some components Getting an ESP is not an unwise plan. On top of that Ford just recently announced another price increase for their ESP plans coming soon, if it hasn't already happened. Better to get it now or earlier and pay less than wait till later and end up paying even more for it.

If you’ve already purchased one at the beginning that goes to 48k, can you purchase another one that takes it to 100k with a discount?

Best way to find out is call whom ever you got the 48k mile warranty from or call the three out of state dealers mentioned on this site
Good luck

For me, it is piece of mind. I would get it as soon as possible. As someone mentioned above, with all the electronics these new vehicles have, $2,000 or $3,000 (depending on options) is worth it (at least to me).

if you''ve decided that you will be doing it, do it now.

As time goes by, not only are there annual price increases, but also "selection bias" comes into play: people who have trouble-free trucks won't be as likely to buy them as will folks with troublesome trucks. Which in turn means that the actuarially "fair" price goes up, as contracts entered later will be more expensive than those issued early on.

(OK, unless the seller is an idiot, but. . .)
