I never understood why Ford did not install a camera to keep an eye on the bed while hauling stuff and driving down the road. I know this camera is for a different purpose, but they could have killed two birds with one stone...
I know a lot of information has been thrown at you. There is a lot to consider when using a dual action polisher (also known as a DA polisher). Do your research. Plenty of YouTube videos out there on how to properly detail your vehicle with a DA polisher. I personally would start with...
As others have said, only buy Ford ESP. With the deals you can get online (Flood Ford, Grainer Ford, etc.) why risk a third party warranty. At least with the Ford ESP, you know what you are getting and what to expect (good and bad).
You can do what I did... Instead of buying a $40 drain plug, you can buy a $4,000 car lift for your garage... (Kidding - Sort of) :). Makes oil changes really easy. Glad things worked out for you...
For me, it is piece of mind. I would get it as soon as possible. As someone mentioned above, with all the electronics these new vehicles have, $2,000 or $3,000 (depending on options) is worth it (at least to me).
In my opinion, Dealerships are hit or miss. I have had some great experiences at dealerships and some terrible experiences. Fortunately, I live in an area where there are several Ford dealerships within a 15-20 mile radius.
In my opinion, dash or 5,000 miles (whichever indicates an oil change is needed first). If I am lazy, I never go over 6,000 miles. My last oil change was about 5,500 miles and I was at 31% on the Oil Life Monitoring System. I do my own changes and use Mobil 1 Full Synthetic with a motorcraft...
Both my 2023 Tremor and 2024 XLT require 7.75 quarts (for a V8) per the owners manual. When I change the oil, I put in 7 quarts and a new filter. After running the engine, I let it sit for 15-20 minutes and check the level. It usually shows within range at the top of the dipstick.
Personally, three years on a Motorcraft battery has been about average for me. I had a 2020 Explorer ST and a 2017 Explorer Sport and both vehicles needed the battery replaced at about three years. Just my experience.
When I purchased my 2024 F-150 XLT, it came with 275/60R20 all-terrain tires on 20" chrome-like PVD wheels (rims). I am trying to figure out if I can increase the tire size for ground clearance without buying new rims, adding a lift kit, or making any other modifications to the existing OEM...
I had this happen occasionally on my former 2020 Explorer ST. I believe it was from parking it in the garage and loss of GPS signal. I used to fix the issue by soft booting the sync system (radio). Depending on what version of Sync you have, you will press a series of buttons at the same...
I am really surprised at some of the responses. I find it extremely unprofessional for them to drive it to a Cracker Barrel and leave it in a public parking lot while they eat (assuming this is what happened). It's one thing to test drive it, but it's another thing if they are leaving the...
