Bluecruise 1.4 Announced

I drove from Des Moines, Iowa to Denver, Colorado, and used BC on my 2021 Platinum. It worked very well and didn't have much if any ping-pong effect.

I noticed that it shut off at on/off ramps when it seemed there were no painted stripes but if I stayed in the left lane, I could go 117 miles across Nebraska with no interruptions. Just an observation.

When I get back from Colorado, I think I am going to take the FDRS plunge and get updates back on track.

Officially, only the MachE has received OTA updates to bring it beyond 1.0, and only model years 24 and newer have beyond 1.0

You can borrow one of the mongoose cables and get it up to the 1.4 release that's still sitting in FDRS for the F150s. If you haven't done any updates on 1.0.

I don't know, but until then, anyone who takes the FDRS plunge can message me, you, Hammaman or anyone else in the know and get their fix that way.

Sent you a message regarding the upgrade. Hopefully my 2022 will be compatible and match a 2024/2025 in bluecruise performance.

How long does it take to update to BC 1.4? I have a 2024 XLT with the expire BC trial but if I was updated to 1.4 I'd probably sign up for a month to try it out again.

23 Platinum with 6.8.0 here - If you go FDRS route are you committed or will you still continue to get OTAs? Getting impatient with the OTA release schedule but not a big tech person. I’d probably get the mongoose and pay the couple day license for the big updates when they come along in the future but don’t want to mess up future OTAs.

I should have been more specific. I got the Blue Cruise in position and automatic lane change features. Has made Blue Cruise better.

Depends on the software version your ADAS related modules are on, you may or may not be able to do it. Getting to my messages in the new few minutes.

Minutes. If you have a 2024 and it shipped with 1.2, the only thing you would need to do to get 1.3/1.4 is update the IPMA software. Your truck would already have the config enabled for lane change assist and the other newer BC features.

Updating with FDRS does not exclude you from getting OTA's. You won't see OTA's for a while because there is nothing to be updated if you update everything yourself.

So how does the subscription work? I am not inclined to pay any subscriptions, but it seems like once you have it, there should be a way to keep it.
