It's not posted publicly. Message me when you're ready to do it and I'll walk you through it.
WOW, OK I can do that. Remember I am a newbie with FORScan. Thanks

All, I was able to updated my 2021, PB Limited via FDRS and ForScan. I worked with rugedraw to step through the sequence. Spent about 2 days getting through it and a couple minor things to figure out but it did update and Blue Cruise with Lane Change works. Shout out to rugedraw for his help. The gent is a national treasure to the F-150 community and he suffered innumerable stupid questions as I was sequencing through it, responding in a very timely manner. All said, the ping-pong issues seem to be gone (PID) controller algorithm, and it works great with the update.

I was hooking it from the Gulf Coast to Indiana yesterday (drove through the night) and noticed that when I exceeded 80 mph on cruise control, Bluecruise would change the IPC to Hands-on.

That's expected.

But technically it's still in Bluecruise mode because Lane Change still works. The only thing different is each lane change comes with the "Keep hands on wheel" warning, even though the Bluecruise 1.4 lane change is a Hands-free maneuver.

Note: you can see me increase/decrease cruise speed watching the cluster. I often have to hit 82 mph indicated to forced the Hands-on mode because the speed PID is (GPS?) is off by about 1.x mph at those speeds.

My 21 PB LTD is now up-to-date and what a difference. There are a few gremlins I am noticing and will still need to work through, though, like frequent speed resets but those are nits.

Thank you, @Khal, for kicking this off. I finally took the plunge this last weekend. Between this thread and a couple of others regarding the setup of a Windows box (it's been over two decades on OSX and it was not exactly like riding a bike) but close. Thank you also to @rugedraw for verifying the path I was on and sanity checking the work.

I had the same experience as well being an OSX user for 20 or more years, but I do maintain a couple of windows machines and was able to get everything squared away on my 21 as well. Again, I also have to thank @rugedraw as well for all the help he gave me.

Glad to see this thread has helped a ton of people! I wanted to stop by and give an update to everyone - I ended up selling my F150 to Carvana and picked up a Cybertruck. I got sick of the recalls and didn't want to keep the F150 outside of warranty.

It has been an absolute pleasure owning my F150 - I think I got very lucky with it being extremely reliable compared to what others have experienced with the Powerboost powertrain.

The Cybertruck's tech got me. FSD is a game changer. For my use case, FSD drives me to my hiking trails start to finish. The truck also remembers where you raised the air suspension and automatically raises when I reach my trail head. This thing sucks for hauling. Range drops from 320 miles down to about 140 when towing.

I'll stop by every now and then to stay updated.

Cheers guys ?

Issues you can expect with your new Cybertruck:

Here is the same comprehensive list of Tesla Cybertruck owner issues in bullet point format:
• Panel misalignment and large, uneven body gaps
• Doors that don’t shut flush or seal properly
• Frunk (front trunk) malfunctions – doesn’t open/close reliably
• Tailgate failures – doesn’t open, close, or latch correctly
• Stainless steel body is prone to:
• Fingerprints, smudges, and dirt buildup
• Visible scratches and swirl marks
• Small dents or warping
• Interior rattling/buzzing noises, especially on rough roads
• Suspension issues, including:
• Unstable or “wagging” behavior at high speeds
• Inconsistent rear-wheel steering feel
• Regenerative braking is unpredictable – can be too aggressive or too weak
• System shutdowns – vehicle randomly powers off or won’t start
• Touchscreen freezes, crashes, or delayed responses
• Autopilot glitches and inconsistent behavior
• Software update bugs, sometimes introducing new issues
• Inaccurate range estimates, especially in poor conditions
• Charging issues, such as:
• Vehicle not recognizing charging cable
• Slow charging or charging failures
• Poor weather sealing – leaks during rain or car washes
• Unintuitive button-based door handles – confusing for new users
• Poor side mirror visibility and large blind spots
• Rear and side visibility obstructed by vehicle shape
• Bulky feel in tight spaces, hard to maneuver or park
• Stiff or delayed steering response
• Feels unstable when cornering or changing lanes quickly
• Scratches or damage on delivery – no protective shipping wrap
• Missing accessories or tools at delivery
• Limited service availability – long waits for parts or trained techs
• Poor customer support and confusing documentation
• Few aftermarket options due to unique stainless steel design
• Hard to clean or maintain appearance due to unpainted finish
• Customization limitations – difficult to paint or wrap
• Steering inconsistencies – tight, jerky, or unresponsive
• Braking problems, including soft feel or unexpected behavior
• Full Self-Driving beta is unreliable in complex environments
• Low pedestrian visibility, increasing accident risk
• Hard to judge lane position and vehicle placement
• Large size makes parking and city driving difficult
• Heavy weight and fast acceleration raise safety concerns in crashes
• Lack of crash test data for independent safety evaluation

I’d keep a roll of duct tape handy.

Someone could make a similar post about potential issues for just about every truck that exists.

Of course there would be plenty of owners who haven't experienced even a fraction of them.

I have had exceptional luck with my Powerboost(s). But there is a legitimate list of things that are documented on this forum, that I couldn't be too surprised if I were to experience one or two.

Oh bro so kind of you to gather a potential list of problems for me using chatGPT. Ill make sure to ask your mom to bring some duct tape the next time she wants a ride in my Cybertruck.

Work smarter not harder… Tools like ChatGPT are perfect for this type of data gathering. These are all “issues” that come from complaints on their owners forums or from news articles.

Like @Snakebitten said you could do the same for any vehicle which was exactly my point. Just because you had problems with vehicle A, doesn’t guarantee you wont with vehicle B. Look back at my posts, I’ve had more than my fair share of issues with my F-150.

I drive from Boston to Philadelphia and back every week and I’ve seen about an equal amount of both F-150s and Cyber Trucks on the side of the road over the past 6 mos - year.

BOOM- Add one more 2022 to the 1.4 list. I have to tell you it was super easy with the help of this forum. Shame on FORD for not rolling this out to the masses; it is truly an incredible upgrade. Thanks to KHAL and Rugedraw for all the help and the loaner cable. Bluecruise 1.4 is the way to go! 10000% better, more stable, and lane change.
