Back-up camera button not working

Not a huge deal but my back-up camera button has stopped working. The camera works fine in reverse but the button does nothing. I did get 3 updates this week, first ones since June. I’m on 4.2.4 now.

Ask Jesse-Infotainment to take a look at your trucks configuration. He'll need your VIN he's incredibly talented at figuring out these problems.

This is happening for trucks that are needing the IPMA update. You will be receiving a OTA eventually that will correct it. THe new updates make changes that require the new IPMA software for it to work.

Yeah. Kinda. THe ipma Update isnt really new. It came out a year ago. They only now started rolliing it out again as a OTA again but with a new rev number. Not sure what Ford has going on sometimes.

My camera button stopped working as well. Very annoying. I use it to turn on the rear camera so I can tell when my rear bumper is clear of the garage door when parking in my garage.

First, post in VIN lookup thread or PM Rugedraw to see if your truck is behind on updates. Several broke camera while several others fixed it.

Second, go to Forscan thread and read how to use it. Check the file and common tab and look for the line for rear camera to see how to possibly fix it that way. This depends on your software version in truck if it will work.
