Crooked back up camera

I’ve got a 2024 xlt. Noticed the backup camera is crooked. You can see the bottom of the tail gate and it makes the bumper look crooked. Ford replaced the trim piece that holds the camera and said there are no adjustments and it did not fix the issue. Asked them to replace the camera and was told they were on national back order and a wanting game now.

Anyone had a similar issue or know a fix?

You can adjust it.

The camera is mounted to a bracket that can be accessed from inside the tailgate.

Up and down, is on a ratcheting pawl.

Twisted as yours is, you'll need to use some Kentucky Windage with trial and error.

On the first time, you may want to pull the assembly out, so you can see whats what but after that, probably wont have to do more than remove the access panel.

I won't say it is fun. Tight quarters and sturdy, angled, needle nose pliers will be handy.

Mine got out of whack pointing too far down. Now that I know where to push, I can do it with a finger.

BTW, in my case, this is not Ford's fault. All on me.

That what I asked them and they told me the 24 has no adjustment. He showed me where a guide rod sits in a bracket and the camera is held in with one screw. Can you show me a pic of the access panel?

Open your tailgate. Its right there. 8 or so inches wide and runs most of the length.

just wait until it inverts the picture then left is right and right is left when its back to normal up down orientation
ours went wonky like that and had to be changed

That worked I appreciate it still need to tweak a little more but no more tailgate in the pic lol
