Rear camera button stopped working

My 2021 has the same issue with the dash button. I did the latest update 29 July 2024. My F150 only has 25,600 miles. My local Ford dealer to said if the module needs an update they may need to charge me. I have asked them about checking my vehicle to see if they can enable the window down feature using hand remote. The maintenance supervisor told my service advisor they do not use the FORSCAN software. I assume I will just do without. The rear camera works fine.

Do you know which software version you were updated to? I'm on 23159 Rev 915 and my camera button doesn't work either.

You have to PM them and they will just tell you to go to dealer.
If you are past your warranty then you'll most likely be charged by dealer to fix the camera or do updates. Looks like you are updated on software by what you posted. Possibly you have a hardware issue. Do you see anything with camera button or nothing at all?

okay then.
Something Ford does to your vehicle while you are sleeping kills one of the features the truck was born with. Now, they want to charge you to put it back??That sounds a bit like a kidnapping/hostage/extorsion issue to me..

can this be fixed with ForScan?

The button doesn't operate at all. It used to when stopped or below 15 mph.

I am having my 2021 F150 rear camera looked at next week. It quit working last year. I handed the service advisor the TSB covering OTA and non 360 rear camera button inop. Will see what happens.

Do you have FORScan? All you need to do it make one change:

706-02-02

You have a 0 there now, so cameras in motion are disabled.

It sounds like @SilverSpur is experiencing the same issue I am, where the camera button is completely inoperable even when parked/not moving. It's a software bug that is fixed in one of the newer software versions. My truck doesn't seem to want to update OTA so I've been stuck with the issue.

FWIW, I tried enabling the cameras at speed in FORscan like you mentioned above. The result was that when the truck is moving fast, the camera button now works, but it will only show the straight down hitch view. The icons for the other views don't do anything when clicked. However, when stopped or moving slowly, the button still doesn't work at all.

I'm certainly interested to hear what SilverSpur finds out from the dealer.
