Are these all factory tie down areas?

This is my first truck ever. Hopefully I’m using the right terminology as well. Can someone help me determine if these are all factory and do I need anything else to use ratchet straps?
The previous owner left two straps in the storage compartment and I am planning on buying a couple retractable ones. Thanks!

Your vehicle should have come with the tie-downs & a key to lock them in place that fit into the side mounted brackets. It not, they are available from any Ford Dealer.

I bought some amazon box plates and the plastic hooks that go into them. If something like this was out three years ago would have gone for it instead. https://radtruckstraps.com/

These are less expensive, $35.99 for 1 or $70 for 2. Just installed one on my truck. Seems like they are of good quality.

Gotta say that all of these plate-mounted ratchet straps look like a PITA to me, really lacking in versatility.

Give me a variety of tie-down points and good-old loose straps with the ratchet mechanism ~12~15" from the hook so it's accessible in a wide range to situations / angles of pull. Absolutely versatile for handling most any load.

If you really use your truck to tote stuff there's lotsa situations where having the ratchet lever down on the bedside would be a PITA; and situations where diagonal pull can be very useful. I'd also much rather my straps not be out and exposed to weather / UV when not in use.

Just one opinion from a long-time pickup owner who actually uses their truck to haul everything under the sun.

Thanks everyone. I just wasn’t sure if I needed something or not. Seems odd that I need to buy extra pieces to utilize what ford installed from the factory. Why wouldn’t they just install something that could be used out the gate? Or can I technically use the ones I have if needed but the aftermarket items everyone is mentioning just adds more functionality?

Appreciate it! Enjoying it so far. I looked briefly this afternoon and didn't see anything. Unless I am missing some secret storage compartment lol The passenger side is just the battery under the seat and then the other side I have already filled up. I don't believe anything is in my lockable storage option as well as it is closed own.

I have 4 amazon no name brand boxlink style things, If you pay shipping they're free to you. I replaced them with 4 E track rings from harbor freight
