FORScan is pretty easy to navigate, about as simple as using an Android tablet really.

Thanks for that info! One of the guys over on FB said this is the part number that includes the module and switch - ML3Z19H332AB

I'll probably order it tomorrow as I've gotta call out to Ford for a couple other things as well.

A little more to it.

Needs to be enabled in the BCM, PCM and IPC

You need to update the TRM as build to that of one that has TBC from OEM. The as build at 791 in a truck that doesn't have TBC is a place holder Not actual TBC data. Its different.

Old thread, but I'm looking at doing this on my 2023 truck, and find it interesting how many different sets of instructions you find on the internet/youtube. Most sets of instruction I found said to enable 2 of the 3 settings (the ones in The_Auto_Tech instructions on page 2 of this thread)
The_Auto_tech also says to load the TRM data form the internet, which I guess loads the "calibration" which makes sense to me.

I don't want to enable the controller and have it appear to work, only for it to work sub optimally...

Anyone know of instructions specific to the 2023? (Jesse is likely going to point me to the ODBGenie for that year, but I'd rather DIY it and get smarter about it)

Any recommendation of who to get the ML3Z-19H332-AB module from? (for a 2023 it's a black box under the dash and the squeeze controller next to the climate control, replacing the coin tray). ther is one on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Ford-Genuine-Trailer-Controller-ML3Z-19H332-AB/dp/B0CLB5WSLQ/ I jsut don;t know if I trust a vendor on Amazon to have non-counterfeit parts.

I asked my local dealer and they said they would not sell it if they didn't install it and program it also.
