No regrets. First 3 months were in consistent < 40 degree weather. I wasn’t impressed with electric mode and mpg. Last couple of months have been > 70 degree and mpg is looking good and electric mode lasts longer and activates more frequently in city driving.

Most of my driving is city/commute so I enjoy the hybrid benefits frequently. I also appreciate the larger gas tank and electric idling when stopped.

100% would do again. If budget were a constraint then I would understand why others would pass.

If the battery and electric motor were about 50% more capable with minimal drawbacks introduced powerboost would be a no brainer.

All I wanted was a Blue (Antimatter), 6.5ft Plat, EB, that actually had the parts that made it a Platinum. The only one I could find was a PB. Ive used the Gen twice for very short durations and I am averaging 21.7mpg which blows doors on my previous '11 EB and '15 EB. I tow my boat to and from lake and jet skis, to and from lake, every year. Basically, 4 tows per year.
If I could get a 2.7L EB in 6.5' bed with a Plat, I really would just buy that. My main driving is to coffee every morning and Home Depot and then the lake place in the summer. Otherwise, its just a comfortable car for me.
Sounds like my truck :)

Thank you. I keep my vehicles for 9-10 years so my concern is reliability. You don't really hear of any issues with the 5.0.

I have a 2014 EcoBoost with 145k miles and zero issues, it is the hybrid system I'm concerned about.

There a Platinum F-150 available with the color and options I want at a great price, except that it has the PowerBoost instead of the 5.0 that I want.
For those who really want a 5.0 and get the PB -- just one thing to say. Personally I don't find any of the 3.5's exhaust options to be worth a damn. No matter how hard you try, you still end up sounding like a LLV USPS mail truck (the white boxy unique vehicles they have). That's my opinion. Whereas you get the 5.0 to sound great, w/ the PB, get it to be quiet.

I have a 22 PB with 20k miles on it in about 10 months.. Fortunately I haven't had any issues with my truck..

I love this truck.. The ride quality, the power.. Insane power for a stock truck..

The features it has.. I spend a lot of time in my truck parked at my job sites.. So the ac running without the engine is a huge point for me..

Over 20k miles, my mileage has been 18.9! I understand this is rather low.. But over 70% of my driving is on freeways AND at over 75 MPH.. So I remind myself of this every time I start to feel envious of the mileage others get..

I would take the dash layout of the Denali in this truck.. Especially the horizontal layout of the center screen! Couldn't ask for much more.. This is an amazing truck..

I've no regrets with my PB. I "inherited" this 6.5 bed when the person ordering it backed out. I had a Lariat on order sitting in a Michigan field waiting on chips. Luckily my vehicle is "complete"...probably one of the last off the line with zero deletes. Bought it with X Plan so I can't complain about the price.

I get good mileage and have had no mechanical issues. My only "problem" is the longer bed...takes some getting used to after driving a Ranger previously. Funny is the majority of comments I get are people that think the automatic tailgate is awesome...

Stiff Coastal winds blew through and power outage. (According to Centerpoint Energy, 47 homes affected. Common occurrence)

Service at the "Big House" & Barndominiam both out. Thus no power at my RV's.

Also missed church this morning. Seems mother nature blocked access until I get the chainsaw out.

But have no fear! The mighty Powerboost kept, and is keeping, the coffee hot and the milk cold for BOTH RV's.

The only PB regrets I've seen is someone that's gotten a lemon, which isn't unique to the PB. It can happen to all of them. This gen F150 has a few gremlins that can pop up with software (or other issues fixed via an update) -- farley has been blaming vendors (ford's fault) saying that it's "difficult" to get vendors to give them updates for modules (again, ford's fault for locking into a dumb arrangement like that). I think the issue isn't as pronounced as farley is blaming as by his own admissions ford's software division is 20% less efficient than "competitors" in development.

They've since brought on some tesla veterans that are currently radically transforming platforms that will be debuting in the 25-26 timeframe. I hope there's good products out before then, come 2026 they're going to start incorporating breathalyzers in vehicles. I don't even drink -- but that's just a bridge too far. It's a waste of resources when IF -- and that's a huge IF -- they wanted 'safer' driving, the resources and legislation are better spent furthering ADAS systems. Playing with a phone is just as lethal as drunk driving, and playing with a stupid touch screen for all of the vehicles numerous controls is even more dangerous than that. I'd like to see more of that reined in. Dicking around with the climate system in the mach-e is the most dangerous activity I do between my 3 vehicles. It's also the most frustrating. (that climate system is programed by a moron that doesn't use it -- it's gotten 5 or 6 updates this year and it still just as stupid as it's always been. It takes 4 times longer to cool down using its own logic than it does for mine and that stupid thing ALWAYS defaults back to the moron's logic each start). @Ford Motor Company please fire the moron that's responsible for the mach-e HVAC logic. Thanks.
I have a 22 Expedition with the 15.5" Mach E screen, I hate it. Wish I opted for the 12" and climate control dials.

FORD needs to hire you as the ultimate spokesman for the PB
looks like you got the weather we were headed for then boom it went around us and south.
good to hear yall are just powerless and all are safe
with the grass under the truck, does it tend to get that area HOT?
i have set a grass strip on fire with the bus before runny genny in HOT summer,
was wondering how the PB dissipates all the engine and exhaust heat

Some around here claim I AM a Ford plant. ?

If the grass was tall enough, I'd definitely mow before I parked a hot exhaust over it.
And the grass that's there isn't really grass, but rather EVERYTHING but St. Augustine, which died with Hurricane Harvey.

I've procrastinated and not repaired my little RV park yard since. Was nice before.

Same boat. Lost house power (me and x,xxx others) this past Thursday afternoon. Waited 20 mins. Not back on. Checked website and it said power expected back on in 4 hours. Nope!

Backed in and hooked up the house. Can run all normal stuff except the microwave and Keurig as they are on the same leg.

Upstairs AC is 3 ton with min circuit amps of 16.7. Downstairs is 5 ton unit. So neither will work with the powerboost as the startup load is too high. Even with zero additional load. Theoretically I could run the upstairs if I installed a soft start ($400 or so)....

But keeping fridge, freezer and internet going was good enough for a few hours. ICE only ran for a minutes the entire time.

Love the powerboost!

True dat!
Actually, it comes with a full pit crew.
(which requires Harbor Freight moving blankets covering those lovely leather rear seats, and Tuxmats protecting the carpet)

We train in the SideXside everyday while making a run to the mailbox

I realize this thread was directed at those who do not use the Pro Power On Board, but I do love the Pro Power, which is the main reason I purchased the my 2021 Lariat Powerboost. I use the 7.2Kw inverter generator (actually 2 3600w feeds) to power my travel trailer, AC coffee maker, tank heater, water fridge all with no worry about running out of power. Solar is cool and some trailers are getting better about being able to run AC etc, but the Powerboost is too reliable and easy. We do not use full service campgrounds. We mostly do dispersed camping on BLM land. This truck is an absolute magnificent use of technology for what we do.

I likely would not have traded in my 2015 Lariat 3.5l ecoboost for the Powerboost if not for the trailer/camping piece, but since I did, I enjoy most of the features it has to offer in addition to the power source. I can leave my dog in the truck on warm days, I like the big touch screen, the power and torque of course. It's simply an all round great truck.

I read about the various problems with them and I wonder if I get an incorrect perception because mine has been almost problem free. I've had the several recall items completed and I had the PCM Module reprogrammed to cure the rough shift issue. I now have 30k miles on it with about 7k of those towing a 4900lb loaded TT. Just changed the tires from the stock Wranglers to Michelin Defender LTXs. What a difference. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys their Powerboost as much as I do mine.

i wrote this thread partly because my wife changed her mind and does not want this truck as her daily driver. i take our Tesla to work because i drive the furthest. before we gotten the truck we all agreed to get the powerboost hybrid so she was going to use it as her daily and sell our Lexus RX which gets about 20mpg mix and uses 91 octane. but she changed her mind after 3 weeks of driving the truck, she wants to drive the Lexus again, citing the truck is too big to park and mpg is similar to the Lexus, oh dooohh. therefore, i was like had i knew this before i would've gotten the 3.5 ecoboost and save ourselves $10k. moral of the story, never consult wife for car buying :p.
