I had never paid 45,000 for a vehicle before much less the 62,000 I ponied up for my 302A. I was looking hard at the Lariat put they wouldn’t budge off of 74,000. I didn’t even consider the top three trim levels.

On the bright side we are a little faster than those high trim trucks with their fancy doodles and heavy curb weights:cool:….ya…..I guess that will help me sleep tonight knowing I don’t have massaging/cooled seats….Maybe.

Trouble maker! Lol

The KingRanch "Snake" version is the other end of the luxury value equation. WRgrimes is a wiser economist than myself.
$79,000 and comes Sans only the Panoramic Roof.

So how can it be $80k? (2022. Probably more now as a 2023?)

Cuz I did put a checkmark in every single available option other than that gorgeous glass roof that I don't trust longterm. :)

And unbeknown to me, early April 2022 builds were right under the wire, by days, of the now infamous luxury deletes. Had Ford delayed the build by just a couple of more weeks, I'd probably still be in my 2021 Platinum Powerboost, which was ~$10k less expensive and DID have the glorious glass roof.

Turns out I've been a KingRanch guy for way too long. I tried hard to embrace the executive trim, but I've worn Wranglers and brown cowboy boots every day for 30 years. It was a perty, but I felt out of place.

Does anyone regret buying the PowerBoost? I want a 5.0 but found a great deal on a PowerBoost. I've read that the PB's have battery issues with the "stop safely now" message, has this battery issue been resolved on the newer models?

You were clear and that’s a great personalized build. Beautiful. I was attempting humor again. KRS version as in King Ranch Snakebitten version…
Gotcha

The only PB regrets I've seen is someone that's gotten a lemon, which isn't unique to the PB. It can happen to all of them. This gen F150 has a few gremlins that can pop up with software (or other issues fixed via an update) -- farley has been blaming vendors (ford's fault) saying that it's "difficult" to get vendors to give them updates for modules (again, ford's fault for locking into a dumb arrangement like that). I think the issue isn't as pronounced as farley is blaming as by his own admissions ford's software division is 20% less efficient than "competitors" in development.

They've since brought on some tesla veterans that are currently radically transforming platforms that will be debuting in the 25-26 timeframe. I hope there's good products out before then, come 2026 they're going to start incorporating breathalyzers in vehicles. I don't even drink -- but that's just a bridge too far. It's a waste of resources when IF -- and that's a huge IF -- they wanted 'safer' driving, the resources and legislation are better spent furthering ADAS systems. Playing with a phone is just as lethal as drunk driving, and playing with a stupid touch screen for all of the vehicles numerous controls is even more dangerous than that. I'd like to see more of that reined in. Dicking around with the climate system in the mach-e is the most dangerous activity I do between my 3 vehicles. It's also the most frustrating. (that climate system is programed by a moron that doesn't use it -- it's gotten 5 or 6 updates this year and it still just as stupid as it's always been. It takes 4 times longer to cool down using its own logic than it does for mine and that stupid thing ALWAYS defaults back to the moron's logic each start). @Ford Motor Company please fire the moron that's responsible for the mach-e HVAC logic. Thanks.

Don't forget too that while the KRS version does not come with a Trunk Monkey it does come with a short wheel girl to help with any wheel related issue. Well worth it IMHO. :)

True dat!
Actually, it comes with a full pit crew.
(which requires Harbor Freight moving blankets covering those lovely leather rear seats, and Tuxmats protecting the carpet)

We train in the SideXside everyday while making a run to the mailbox

Baby seat + pacifier on the check list. I take it the crew's encouragement is to go the long way and perform some other property inspections while at it?

Everyone who has been in my truck or driven it raves about it. No mention about the cloth seats or the lack of panoramic sunroof at all. Just "Wow, nice truck!". I have zero buyer's remorse which is very unusual for me.

I'm a member of this forum as an enthusiast and to learn as much as I can about how my truck actually works. That's probably pretty clear from my consistent PB advocacy lol.

All models have the potential for issues. What do you want the truck to do for you? I see your current nice street truck so we'll start there.

1. 5.0 RCSB lowered and leveled with fat street tires and a whipple. Strike fear in hearts at every stoplight!

2. Please refer to suggestion 1.

None of them have ever seen the dealership after delivery.

That doesn't mean that the issues posted here on the forum aren't real. Of course they are. But they are a tiny sample and strongly weighted towards those with issues. The very nature of a forum. And rightfully so.
20,000 miles on my Platinum PB in 10 months. Been across the country 3 times, 2 of them with my 1,000lb camper. 0 problems for me as well. Plus, the 7.2kW inverter is the perfect back-up power source when there is little sun.

When I”m driving around, I get 21-24MPG. Not so when hauling the camper, but the Powerboost engine is so smooth, and torque-y, the extra payload doesn’t feel overwhelming.

I feel bad for those who have had problems, and I’m grateful I’m not one of them.

Thank you. I keep my vehicles for 9-10 years so my concern is reliability. You don't really hear of any issues with the 5.0.

I have a 2014 EcoBoost with 145k miles and zero issues, it is the hybrid system I'm concerned about.

There a Platinum F-150 available with the color and options I want at a great price, except that it has the PowerBoost instead of the 5.0 that I want.

I am a big fan of the PowerBoost. That tank of gas did have about an hour of ProPower time as well.
