2021 KR PB 34,000 miles. Except for a couple recalls, truck has been trouble free. Still have original 3 year old 12V battery.
I bought a 2023 Lariat Powerboost that I had for about 6-months. I liked the truck a lot except for the 49-days at the Dealer and it was still at the Dealer when Ford bought it back. I had a leaking exhaust heat exchanger that was the first 29-days in the shop. The Dealer said I couldn't drive it but had he given me a gallon or two of collant, I could have topped it up and driven it. My AC would ice up and the Dealer couldn't fix it although now it would be an easy fix. I liked the truck and I believe all of the early problems are fixed. I have ordered a 2026 Lariat Powerboost.

Not that it matters to the OP at this late date, but after more than a year my '24 PB has been wonderful. I too am retired and the truck often sits for a week with no battery issues. Ford's update of the 12v battery charging algorithm seems to have pretty much taken care of that issue.

If needed the trick of turning on the accessory mode that enables the dc/dc converter to charge the 12v batteries from the HV battery is easier, free and a better method than adding a battery maintainer.

My truck has had 2 small issues, neither particular to the PB. The first was the recall to modify the flexible panel that could block intake air, and the second to replace the fuel door cover that fell off. Both were promptly taken care of by the dealer in about an hour each.

I love the truck, and am continually amazed at the level of software integration. It really is an app wrapped around an engine, motor and wheels. That's a feature, not a bug. Buck Rogers eat your heart out. :)

Next week marks 1 year of owning my '24 XLT PB. It's currently sitting at just a hair over 11k miles, mostly highway and ~1k of those towing various loads between 4k-6k lbs. So far the truck has been great and hasn't given me any major issues or left me stranded.

Issues so far:

- dealer sent out a mobile tech to check out my upper radiator shroud for that recall (I already had the updated part)

- GSM threw a fault and needed to be replaced

- check engine light for a stuck evap purge valve, fixed within a day via a software update.

This truck replaced a 2011 EB that I owned since new so I'm hoping it gives me a similar longevity. So far I'm not regretting my purchase.

I've had my '24. Lariat PB about 15 months now. I'm at 20k. I had 2 of the 3 issues Goldeneye did, with the CEL for stuck evap purge valve that they fixed with a software update and the recall where they had to cut my upper radiator shroud to help keep the turbo cool.

Other than that my entertainment screen was a little buggy, but no deal breaker. I probably towed a small camper 3500 pounds about 13,000 miles of the 20k.

I'm very happy with the truck so far.

From 8/17 to 9/26 we covered over 8,000 miles pulling a 34’ travel trailer and only one problems, a flat tire. Iowa, Wisconsi, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada Colorado, Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, and diagonally southwest to northeast Iowa. Truck is 4 months old and has 10,000 (s)miles showing.

If had mine for 11 months now with just over 12k miles. Not a lot of towing yet, mostly commuting and family trips. Took it in for recall and had the back seat cover replaced for some loose stitching and a back door realigned all covered under warranty. Other than that no issue and we're loving it.

I have owned three PowerBoosts (2021, 2023 and current 2025) with 80,000 miles total and 50% of the miles towing 7,300 lbs. Each one has been better than the rest.

The 2021 was a Job 1 of a new F-150 model. FDRS garage updates kept it running. Current 2025 is a nicely refined product.

The biggest complaint is the very, very slow response to known module bugs and poor execution of over the air updates. I have a Tesla Model Y. Bug fixes and feature enhancements roll in every couple of weeks with no user intervention. Ford is 10 years behind and rarely gives you a new feature enhancement without charging you.

When I saw this thread title, it had the feel of bait.

Glad to see so many other happy PB owners. Hope the OP's experience goes as well.

Samson calls it a Unicorn and that is as apt a description as any for me.

Easily the most luxurious vehicle I've ever owned, while simultaneously having more power, with better gas mileage, than any truck I've ever owned.

PPOB is just icing on the cake. And somehow, that feels like a severe understatement.

Its a perfect match, if you ...

Use your truck as a mobile office,

Need remote power on the Farm, or Construction Site,

Have a travel trailer, inside of it's weight class.

I feel like he meant a GOOD PB is a unicorn, and I also feel that's as apt a description as any. Though for someone like me (and the tens of thousands of others) who has a worthless shit wagon for a PB, seeing folks getting actual working PBs is gratifying, bewildering and frustrating all at the same time.

If you've ever read Samson16's posts you would know that is absolutely NOT what he meant......Probably the biggest supporter of the Powerboost platform on here (maybe 2nd behind Snakebitten)- and I get it- they are great vehicles.

Whatever your reason was for not dipping your toe in the water in 2021 (assuming the technology appealed to you in the first place)- it should be a non-issue entering the 2026 model year.....

While it would be pure folly for me to deny that I am a huge fan, even an ambassador for the Powerboost, I don't think I am in the minority of Powerboost owners that think well of the truck.

I'm convinced that the number of Powerboost owners with a miserable ownership experienced are REAL, but statistically not large.

Doesn't mean I'm right. But I do think a logical conclusion.

Looking at any of the PB reliability threads, shows overwhelmingly positive feedback from members here.

Not perfect, even for those who love them but in the overall, for sure.

Many, if not most, do report some minor electrical annoyances, usually early on (like me) but quite a number report no issues at all.
