Almost purchased RCSB 5.0 but got a Supercab 5.0 instead…

Congrats, I have owned extended cabs from a time when the back didn’t have doors. 1976 ford. I have loved them all. I now have grand kids that require car seats and they don’t fit in an extended cab truck so I bought a super crew 4x4 XLT last year with a 6.5’ box. I love it the 5.0 gets much better mileage than my 5.3 Chevy ever did. The power to pull my toys is awesome. I have always bought what did what I need and this F-150 does it all well. Again congratulations, that’s a beautiful truck.

Yesterday I installed some tie down anchors in the bed of the truck. I had to use a threaded tap to ream out the holes so I could install the screws. I’ll post pictures tomorrow but these are the ones I purchased.

I ordered some with my ford pass points . I thought they were for the area yours attach but they were the same as the small ones that were already installed in the bottom of the bed. The hole didn’t match up. Thanks for the link you have exactly what I wanted and didn’t even know it.

Don't forget the 6mm 1.00 tap to ream out the holes, especially if you had a spray in bed liner installed like I had.

Used the truck to tow the boat today and of course towing a 2000 lb. boat was easy for it.

Today my wife surprised me and got my windows tinted with the best ceramic tint. I think it was 50% front and 35% rear and back. Looks less work trucky and more upscale now. I’ll post better pictures later. I took the hubcaps off for now because they were rattling and will put them back on after I fix the rattle. Rear blocks have been removed since I posted here last. Tint looks good! My dad picked his truck up with the tint already on it which was great. Got to see how mine will look tinted since our trucks are identical and I really like how it looks. I'll be going with the ceramic down here in NC due to the heat.

I thought maybe the ceramic tint was a gimmick but when I went to the shop the lady there had a prop with a heat lamp with the different tints behind it and I could really feel the difference with the ceramic tint which of course was 67% more.

Good looking truck. I drove a F250 super cab as my daily driver for 20 years. Its a great truck, plenty of storage.

For looks, SuperCab’s are the next best thing to regular cabs.

My dad did those Chrome hubcaps on his twin of my truck. He blacked out the center caps and then put some Ford ovals on. Really cleaned up the look.
