I have been using a Curt brand the past 5 years or so. I used it on my 2004 F-150 first and now use it on my 2024. I bought it because I needed more space when I'm tent camping. And it's worked well and has the light kit. I bought it from e trailer.
I'll be picking up a cargo trailer to do a...
Big time. And probably one of the more overlooked things that won't get mentioned is the standard features. I bought an XL. I wanted vinyl floors and vinyl seats. But I bought an XL and found it to be more than enough amenities. There are people out there that drive 302A XLTs that don't even...
Glad you found something that works for you. Seats are so subjective and more people need to test them in person versus reading on forums or Facebook.
I have a XL 101A and I love the seats and it was a big reason I went through with buying a base model instead of stepping up to an XLT. Most...
My brother is trying to find the flange too He doesn't want to cut his OEM stuff. Roush being a bunch of cheap asses not providing a flange in a $1,300 exhaust lol.
Has anybody noticed that you can no longer get just a regular 5.0 STX SuperCrew? I have no real care because I love my XL and I'll drive this thing for over a decade and just buy another base model when the time comes.
But I like to play around the configurator and even in the order guide, I...
There was some kind of glitch because I was just playing around with it for fun when it came out, and every time you selected STX with 5.0 it kept forcing you into a lobo lol. Probably had a ton of glitches
Originally from that same area not too far from Gillette stadium. About 9 years ago my dad and brother had their trucks bedlined at the local rhino liner dealer which I think was either Dedham or Norwood. They were happy with it for what it is.
Ironically this time around all three of us have...
Since having my 2024 f150 5.0 with 3.31 rear gears, I have realized that this is one of the best all-around combinations available from Ford I think for most people. It likely explains why it's one of the most common combinations you find on dealer lots.
My OG four-speed 2004 that I have has a...
Great review and mine has been similar although the powertrain for me has been flawless. 24 5.0 XL here and also a very long-term 11th gen owner which I still have to this day.
They are amazing trucks and agree with your sentiment about some of the options. I chose the XL for the very reasons...
There is a very slight buzzy fluttery deep tone that comes from the exhaust as soon as it goes into for cylinder mode. I have a resonator delete with the stock muffler intact, so I hear it a tiny bit more than I did when I had the factory resonator in place on my factory muffler. I also feel a...
None at all! I am so glad I was proven wrong from my hesitancy back when this first was being discussed. The way I look at it is these trucks have been on the road since 2020 since the model year typically debuts the year before in actuality. So heading into over half a decade on the road, with...
Looks great!
My dad did those Chrome hubcaps on his twin of my truck. He blacked out the center caps and then put some Ford ovals on. Really cleaned up the look.
Mine was ordered from the factory with the Ford running boards and Ford mud flaps. Definitely nice products for sure.
I run mud flaps on all my vehicles except my Mustang GT. For that I was able to find little splash guards that do the trick but are a bit more hidden.
I've had good luck with...
Yeah those are just the modes for the programming. Tow/haul you get by default but it's not the actual tow/haul package for the trucks mechanicals if that makes sense.
But at the end of the day, most of these trucks now are incredibly well equipped from the get-go without a tow / haul package...
I think the 12-in screen is a poor wording situation. It doesn't make sense that they'd have a screen that big and it not be touch plus it's compatible with CarPlay and Android Auto. And it still has the built-in owners manual. I think it's just a mistake or poor wording.
Still a bit miffed...
Cleaned up the truck from the road trip finally, she'll be going camping a few times this month.
Changed the oil for the second time at 5,098 mi. Everything looks great. Just need to sneak in a tire rotation here in the next week or so and should be good until next year for oil and tires...
That's not my understanding the way it reads. All 2024 and newer f-150s, get the class IV hitch, 4/7 pin connectors, and they have good towing ratings with the 5.0 and 3.5. But that is not the actual "trailer tow package"
If you read the order guide under XL where it shows standalone packages...
While I have not done it yet, it's on the menu for my 2024 XL next year. One important note that I observed from following a thread that I will link, is that engine matters. So if you have a 2.7 by chance, it seems to be a different harness needed than some of us with the 5.0s. Good luck, I'm...
Tint looks good! My dad picked his truck up with the tint already on it which was great. Got to see how mine will look tinted since our trucks are identical and I really like how it looks. I'll be going with the ceramic down here in NC due to the heat.
