I am joining the confused group. None of this computes
  • All the vehicles getting converted are 2025's
  • Some say the new part number is RL3Z...
  • The old number is FL3Z
  • Someone comments 'So the difference is the connectors'
Yet some are using the new part number, while others are using the old part number

Which one is correct?

I used the following for my ‘25 801 Raptor without issue, hope this helps.

FL3Z-14A626-AH - Keypad
FL3Z-1520555-SG - Gloss Door Panel

I have a 2025 Tremor and used FL3Z with the factory harness. The plugs on those matched.

When I changed my mirrors, I had to install wiring harness RL3Z-14631-E. The connector in that harness did not match the FL3Z keypad so I had to install keypad RL3Z.

The best way to know which keypad you need is to take off the door panel and see what connector you have.

Congrats! Man, that's awesome! I want that tailgate drop option!!! Could you please explain how you make the TG drop? Guessing you don't have the PAT? Do you have the power tailgate UP/DOWN? Maybe these are a factor?

Can anyone else confirm they have this feature working, and did you use his part number: Fl3Z-14A626-AG

Ford shows that part is made for 21-22 F150's. He has a 25 XLT

Here's what GROK says for instructions:
  1. Enter your factory-set 5-digit code or personal code on the keypad.
  2. Within 5 seconds of entering the code, press the 5/6 button on the keypad. This will release the tailgate latch.

The tailgate should then lower freely. If your truck has a power tailgate, this method may not work—use the interior dash button, key fob, or tailgate handle instead. Always ensure the area behind the tailgate is clear before releasing it.
I have the power tailgate and a 2023 that still had the factory installed keypad…the 5/6 method does not work for me.

Does your tailgate have power close or does it only drop down?

Power open and close. All of which work via a button on the dash, the key fob, or using the tailgate handle (to open) or starting to close the tailgate.

As per the Grok mention above, I think the full power option on the tailgate makes the 5/6 option not work. My keypad was factory installed.

Good point. I had a 23 plat, keypad included. Did not work. Wonder if it has to do with having the keypad on a non power up/dn tailgate. Might just work on the power down tailgate only. 🤷

So, reading between the lines and other posts, the best way to assure you're getting the correct actuator is to remove the door panel and see if the existing harness part number tag begins with FL3Z or RL3Z.

Or am I jumping to conclusions?

To my knowledge, no one has posted on this thread or the other forum a picture or a definitive way to identify the connectors.

I have pictures of the connector here. This is the connector from the new harness. I'll post a picture of the keypad connector when I find it.

https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thr...harness-killed-my-keyless-entry-keypad.42014/

It looks the majority of the people that will add a keypad will need the keypad from the original post. If anyone added tow mirrors and swapped the door wiring harness, they would need to pay attention to the connector.

EDIT: Added some pictures. The flat connection is from the original post. The connector that is more squared is from the new harness. I don't have a picture of the connector from the keypad.

So the connector with 5 pins and one empty slot is the FL3Z and square connector with 4 pins is the RL3Z

Did I read your post correctly?

That is correct. The flat connector with 5 pins is the FL3Z. The square connector with 4 pins is the RL3Z.

I want to add the keypad to my 2025 Lariat, BUT my BCM module does not list the Factory Code, the label space for key code is blank, and using 2 keys in cupholder does not render a factory code. Is it possible my truck does not have a factory code assigned to it?

They all have a factory code. It took me a few tries with the 2 keyfob method but it finally worked. I found doing the exchange quickly is what made it display. Scroll up and ull see my post in detail.

Could also try making the Forscan changes first then getting the code if ur still having issues. Maybe that will help?
