No, 5/6 button does not open the power up/power down tailgate. However I believe the trucks that don’t have power up are able to use the 5/6 button. From what I’ve seen, there isn’t a setting to change that.

There’s a way to retrofit the keypad on the door. I started a thread with instructions if you’re interested.
I believe they made the rear bumper smaller so that you can step into the bed easier using the pro access tailgate
I’d suggest plugging the keypad into the door panel and programming it on forscan first. After that it should have no problems displaying the factory code.
When I took delivery of my truck back in January, Ford’s build & price website said 501A includes power tilt/telescoping steering wheel. I claimed for an mis-built but Ford said it wasn’t. It has been updated on Ford’s website since then.
