I had the oil changed about 1500 miles ago. Today my truck is telling me it is due for an oil change. I checked the oil life and it shows 0%. Anybody think there is an underlying problem or just something that happens.

Either the person that did your oil change forgot to reset the oil life meter or you have been beating the hell out of your truck.

My guess would be the 1st option though.

My 2024 PB did the same thing. I changed it myself and reset the meter at 3500mi and now 2000 miles later it’s nearly back to 0%

I did see this exact issue for the first 2-3 times I reset my oil monitor. I had made sure that after the 2nd one I verified that the monitor had been reset to 100. Then about time 3 I told the dealer, about it, they asked me to reset it one more time, and to “prove” my point I did so…and it’s worked normally ever since!

I would guess they just didn't reset as well.

I change mine every 5k regardless. I wanna say usually the monitor has me around 40-50% oil life left by that point.

I'm at 13,500 miles right now so 1,500 miles from next change and Oil Life is at 63%

I have the same issue as the OP, mine goes to zero at least once a week, not sure if there is a fix for this or if it's a module or software issue.
Hoping someone has some ideas?

It doesn’t like the oil. Try Motorcraft full synthetic.

Edit: glitchy reset routine

That is what I use in it, Oil changes are done at the dealership and I watch them out in the Full synthetic

I don't go by it either, it's just annoying that it keeps popping up, I keep track of milage in a book, just wish the reset would stay and stop going to zero% same as the seat belt display that you have to cancel each time lol!

The oil life meter also measures time. It recommends changing the oil once a year by going to 0% after a year.

The oil was changed just about 2 months and 2400 kms (1495 miles ago), truck has 22000 km (13600miles) on it. Next service I will be asking the dealership about it, just seen the post from the OP and was having the same issue, so wanted to add my truck too.
