Finally got to the bottom of the front camera thing. Ended up our Lariat with 501A package does not come with 360 deg camera. We test drove a XLT with 360 camera package and then test drove the Lariat assume it has it too because it’s the higher trim. It was our careless mistake. Now, is there a way to retrofit the front camera to my truck?

Lol sorry was referencing post #6 while showing what the halogens looked like.

thanks, i saw that thread too when googling retrofitting cameras to F150. it looks complicated and i would have to change all the side mirrors. maybe just add the front camera or sensor in, any aftermarket solution for those?
Yeah, I'm not sure. Jesse who's a pretty main, very knowledgable guy on this forum probably would have mentioned alternatives if they existed. I'm afraid it's probably a long shot to only do a subset of the changes he's listed, and I don't know of anything aftermarket right now. But, mine did come with them, so I haven't had to really dig in all areas to find out. I don't know the latest status for sure.

you should’ve done more research before taking delivery of your Powerboost OP..

front parking sensors are available on the 501A HOWEVER you must be equipped with the “Co Pilot 360 2.0 Assist” option.

501A gives you REFLECTOR LED HEADLAMPS while 502A gives you PROJECTOR LED HEADLAMPS.

I don’t think the LED reflectors are bad at all, they are a lot better than my halogens. I’m just thankful the halogens are improved on the 14th gen, those C-clamp headlights on the 13th gen had no space in the reflector housings, the halogens were borderline dangerous. At least these new halogens throw similar to the older trucks again. Big headlights are always better.

thanks, i wish i knew that going in. we saw a Lariat with pano roof, FX4, 20" dark wheel upgrade, and onboard power generator for only $4k over the XLT we test drove prior and we jumped on it. the XLT does have 360 camera package now that i went back and looked at its window sticker. lessons learned for sure. this is my first time buying Ford, i've been owning Toyota/Lexus and Tesla up to this point.

So it’s hard telling you what options your truck has based on the fact that it’s a 501A as there are still quite a few standalone options. I CAN tell you what I know it does not have:
Rear heated seats
Powered steering column
LED PROJECTOR headlamps
Heated steering wheel

your truck DOES have LED REFLECTOR headlamps, which are actually still pretty good headlamps and much better than the halogens, of which I have much experience. I have actually spent a lot of time using all 3 levels of headlamps and both LED styles are pretty damn good

your truck sounds like it does NOT have co pilot assist 2.0, or else you would have 360 cams and front parking sensors.

502A trucks had co pilot assist 2.0 as an included option

we just picked up our new F150 PB Lariat last weekend, we have the 501A equipment group. Can anyone list all the stuff included in that package?
Attached FYI are the Lariat pages from the 2023 Order Guide. This gives a good overview of the package content BUT it may not reflect any 'forced deletions / feature removals' that Ford may have imposed when your truck was built.

Read it carefully, the data is accurate (certainly better than retail website tables or build&price), but the details are devilish.

Hope that helps.

EDIT - added XLT Standard Equipment page because that's referenced as the basis for the Lariat (Lariat has everything on standard XLT as its starting point).

talked to the salesperson yesterday over the phone. i told him when we test drove the XLT which did have the 360 cameras, we told him specifically that's one of the must have features my wife needs. and later when test drove the Lariat he conveniently forgot to remind us the Lariat does not come with the camera package. we have ourselves to blame of course, but i pointed that out to him directly. he said he will work on some remediation on the front camera or sensors for us. stay tuned.

With all these variants, its going to be near impossible for the value rating agencies to provide accurate scores. Especially with all the deletes.

Just for grins, I plugged my 01 XLT into J D Powers the other night. Quite old, true but it didn't even list some fairly major options, like electronic 4x4 shift on the fly, which as I recall, was something like a $1200 option, the 355 LS, or even the tow package.

How are they going to keep up with heated steering wheel, or not, bed camera, or not etc. etc.
I have one of the last 500 Op 2022 F150 Lariat and came with LED headlights but NO front Sensor. That was an $8800 upgrade... ugh.. Sure miss having the sensors like on my 19 Ranger.

Not directly related to the OP's situation but to yours ...

I have a 2022 500A (base trim Lariat) with
  • Ford Co-pilot 360 Assist 2.0 ($750 MSRP)
  • 360-degree camera package ($765 MSRP)
  • There are 4 sensor 'buttons' visible in my front bumper
  • I have no option costing remotely near $8800, in fact the total of all of my options is only $7455 MSRP:

When I get within a very few feet of an obstacle in front of my truck the display automatically toggles to show the front-cam and overhead view along with an audible beeping alarm sounding-off:

When I am pulling into a parking space, just one manual push of the camera 'hard button' above the display also causes the same overhead and front cam views to pop up on the display.

I've no idea what's required on a 2023 Lariat, but as seen above this can (could) be had on a 2022 base 500A Lariat for much less than "an $8800 upgrade".

And yes, my Lariat has LED reflector (not projector) headlights.
