I've driven multiple year models of f150's from 21-25 and every one of them what could be considered almost excessively firm seats in them with more than ample support. Even my 470 lbs lard ass of a brother couldn't phase them and said they were very comfy. Held up to that girth for a 9 hour round trip to Dallas and back to Houston plus a couple extra hours in Dallas driving around... And the passenger seat is none the worse for wear.

Can only imagine what the previous owner did to screw up the seat in yours that badly.

I don't know either. I've driven F150's before, i drive one for work now, i've had a Sierra, a Tacoma, a Civic, i've never experienced this issue in a vehicle. Seats are definitely not firm, i push down on the middle and look below and its just the foam sinking, no support whatsoever

Try unbolting thew seat and lean it back to see if the seat bottom spring is damaged. You should not have to unplug the harness aside from unhooking the cable mount clip from the seat frame. You might also try to raise it up and take pics with your camera to see if anything is amiss under there.

This is the part you likely need. it’s what was broken on my 18. Roughly $60 at Tasca, took me about 30 minutes to replace.

Thanks so much for that! How hard was taking the seat off, the cover, getting it back on, etc?

Super easy. Unbolt the seat track, unplug the seat, remove from truck. Underneath, the lower seat cover is held on by plastic j clips. Undo these and the cover pops right off. Then this spring basically just sits on the frame. Swap it out and reverse of removal.

Will want to disconnect the battery and make sure there's not an aux battery under the rear passenger seat before tearing into it. since you need to pull the seat out which means the seat airbags need to be disconnected when unplugging the harness to the seat. If you do this yourself just be sure everything is reconnected BEFORE reconnecting the battery. Otherwise you could get an airbag fault that will take several cycles or Forscan to clear.

Makes sense man i appreciate the advice!

If the dealer won't warranty it and you don't want to mess with it then a a good upholstery shop should be able to knock it out in a couple hours, tops.

A few hand tools, a couple hours, music to annoy the neighbors and 3 or 4 beers later and you should be g2g.

If you were closer to Houston I'd saw swing on by this weekend and I'd give ya a hand with it. lol
