Has anyone gone through the process of replacing their seat in their truck, specifically the Lariat? The back of the seat is fine, its more of the base or the part you actually sit on. It sinks pretty bad, like i can push it down easily with just my hand really low. I've been almost sinking in the seat which is really uncomfortable. I bought the truck used and it is certified through Ford so i have the 12 months comprehensive warranty, not sure if seats fall into that if they are obviously worn.

Any input is appreciated!

I also sat in a 2024 Lariat and not sure if its the same seats or not but they were super comfortable. Curious if i do end up replacing my seat, can i get those?

There's a plastic "spring" that supports the underside of the cushion. This is likely broken. It broke on my 18 and felt exactly like you are describing. You can replace just this part super easy.

Did you figure out what the issue is? Is the seat broken?
I haven't yet. Dealership is of course booked until next week. I did find a really reputable auto upholstery place near me, dropping it off in a couple of days. Sounds like he's dealt with issues like this before and he can replace foam, add support springs and pretty much mold the seat to my liking. Seems cheaper than the dealership too.

Are you not under warranty?

I bought a new 2024 Lariat 3 months ago today. After about a month the drivers seat became very uncomfortable, the left bolster digs into my leg. My 2018 Lariat I traded in was the most comfortable seat I’ve ever sat in.

I bought used but it does have a 12 month limited comprehensive warranty but from what i read online, regular wear and tear of seats isn't covered

I'm going to take it in for service in about a month, but I dont have high hopes they can fix it. I will probably have to take to an upholstery shop.

The guy i talked to at the upholstery shop said he's seen newer vehicles have almost 0 support on the bottom which is crazy. Quality just isn't the same. Really hoping this works out as i've been avoiding driving the truck, when i do i am in pain for hours

I did temporarily modify mine, found a $12 seat cushion foam at Wal-Mart and trimmed it slightly to fit under the seat cushion. It helped quiet a bit but that bolster is killing me still.

I have legitimately been limping after driving. Its crazy. If this upholstery shop can't solve it, my next step is probably replacing the seat. Can't imagine how expensive that might be. Crazy enough, i sat in a 2024 lariat last week and it was actually comfortable and felt different.

Doesn’t matter if you bout it used, they still have a 3 year/35000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and a 5 year/60k powertrain warranty
