2021 Owners - What is your OTA Version?

One thing the ford software reps told me is that the following criteria has to be met in order to have an update initiate:

- fuel level for update must be at 92% or above
- in vehicle wifi enabled
- vehicle parked
- schedule update for when you will have full fuel
- parking brake set
- lights set to auto or off
- ignition off, doors, trunks closed
- oil life should be better than 30%
- needs to be driven for at least 30 minutes so, the battery gets charged for the update

I agree with the last one, but the rest is mostly BS.

The last two I received were for VIN 1FTFW1EO0MFB70405 were:

Aug. 30, 2023 - 23-PU0724-DOM-PD
May 31, 2023 - 4.2.4

My wife's 2024 Escape just got 6.4.0. I'm feeling left behind.

Not sure exactly, but the truck is stuck at sync 23159 rev915 like a lot of others. That issue should be taken care of now. Time for fdrs this weekend.

Are they hoping that your truck would FAIL at least one of those requirements? I am betting on the 92% fuel level. That way, they can say it is NOT Fords fault. They must think we are stupid people. My hood is open the whole time it is in the garage because I have a Noco 5 connected and have received an OTA. What a bunch of Bull Poop....

You would be correct. They said I initially failed because the dealer didn't reset my oil after an oil service. The next one was that I didn't have the right fuel amount. The next time it was because I didn't drive it for over 30 minutes to "charge the battery". I agree that many of these are just for them to punt it down another week.

The last OTA update I got was 4.2.4, that was May 12 2023. I don't even look for them anymore. I renewed Blue Cruise expecting it to be updated but nothing, same old same old.

Eventually BC will be updated but it isn't getting sent OTA yet. Lots of people posting they have been getting 4.x updates recently so maybe your truck will start getting updated.

I may have to do the same thing for mine I just bought a month ago - 21’ PB…let me know which battery you decide. I got low battery errors after receiving the truck, from likely sitting for a while.

Sounds good. I have not replaced the battery yet. But I did get an update a few weeks back. I now have the full screen CarPlay and Alexa after the update.

I still think there is a problem with the battery. The auto start/stop has almost never worked because it states the battery is in need of charging and will not stop at the light every time I drive it. I have not seen the battery saver message after I turn the truck off for some time but I think that has only happened when the weather in Colorado was really cold. It's been warmer and not as cold the last few times it snowed. But I will keep you posted.

21 job 2 . I took it in to the dealer to have the Bluecruise update performed. It doesn't show what version I am on, but Rugedraw said it looked like they installed all the 4.2.x updates. The last ota update was 9/14/23 which was the digital owners manual.
I don't know if having the dealership install the updates has caused an issue but something is obviously not working as it should!

Job 2 2021. Just got 4.3.2 this morning. I’d pretty much given up on ever getting another.

Job 1 2021 FX4 SuperCrew, last update was 4.2.4 on June 8, 2023.

Runs great! I don’t care whether I get any more updates or not.

2021 Job 1.... Not sure of OTA level as I have done many updates myself. My SYNC4 is Version 23291, so I have to assume that correlates to something 6.X.X.
