2021 Owners - What is your OTA Version?

Early this morning, Ford Pass notified me that my Job 1 2021 FX4 received a new OTA update.

I didn’t bother to click on to read the details. I don’t care.

After breakfast a bit later, upon starting my truck to run an errand, I noticed my Boost gauge was swapped for the Transmission Oil Temperature gauge.

No problem. I simply re-set it back to Boost.

My truck still runs great!

Apparently got 4.3.6 yesterday. 4.3.2, 4.3.3, 24-PU0223-VI-RBS2, and 4.3.6 in the last 7 days. Maybe I'll catch up finally.

I just got the same updates this week minus the 4.3.6 and 6.1 on my 2021 power boost limited. Still no working blue cruise on my truck though.

OTA 4.3.6 was sent to you yesterday and is sitting in your queue. Go start your truck and let it run for 10 minutes or so and that should be enough to get it to install. This will not help with your bluecruise issue, but fyi.

Has bluecruise never worked on your truck, or did it stop working at some point?

Blue cruise has never worked for me, I spent almost 6 weeks trying to get my dealer to make it work at the beginning of this year but they have pretty much given up on it. The weird part is I can see the option to enable blue cruise on my touch screen in the driver assist settings (enable hands free cruise control) and I see a 2074 expiry on my blucruise under the software version. But it still doesn’t activate or work when I’m on mapped roads.

It's difficult to say why the dealer was not able to get it to work. It is possible that you were missing the IPC updates that you got a week ago. I checked with the resident guru and all you are missing to enable BC is a simple config change in your IPMA. Do you have FORScan?

I recently got a forscan cable and the laptop software but haven’t used it yet. What would I need to check, change, or provide for you to have an idea of what’s going wrong? Really appreciate the help, it’s been frustrating getting so close to working blue cruise but it still not working.

Very easy fix. This is what your as-built data is showing in the first line of your IPMA:

All you need to do is change those values to:

8A50 A215 AExx

If you have never used FORScan, read through this tutorial:

This will literally take you minutes to do. The lowercase x's means you don't change anything there and you leave whatever values are there. Anywhere you see a capital letter or number, you change whatever values are there to what I posted above and then click the write button. Once finished, go to the wrench icon on the left side of FORScan, find the IPMA module and reset it and you're done.
