I'll give it a little bit to try updating on it's own before I go with the Mongoose. It might like me better than the last owner. ?‍

Lot of new stuff to play with now before I dig into updating it via laptop and using Forscan to play with a few things.

F150forum is too diluted with all the different generations of trucks. This forum is more focused on what we drive and there are people here that have a wealth of knowledge that are only active in this forum. Based on the questions you were asking over there, I knew this would be a better spot for you.

I see they installed a new APIM and the performed a successful PMI procedure, so from what I can see, your APIM issue should be fixed. Now it is just a matter of waiting for the next update to be sent to you. They put a new one in, but didn't perform any updates, so your truck is still very far behind in the OTA process.

Got my first update today since my APIM replacement. I guess I’m all caught up now! ??? Long way to go…..

Yup, I'm also a J1 21, no worries we'll eventually get 4 2 2,3,4 we just have to wait it out. Seems we're last on Fords list!

Your truck is on Sync 20262 and has not received an OTA in 22 months. I am confident your truck is stuck in OTA purgatory. Without dealer intervention to get your APIM out of its current state, you will never get an OTA update sent to you. I see the failed attempts by the dealer to update/repair your APIM. Both the community and the dealerships have learned a lot about these issues in the past 8 months since they last tried to fix it. I would try to make another appt to see if they can get you unstuck.

The other alternative is getting a Mongoose tool and doing it yourself.

BS. TSB 22-2404 has been out and available to Ford dealers forever. Sorry you wasted you time. I would call your service advisor tomorrow and ask him it her to look up that TSB.

My job 1 2021 Platinum received 4.2.3 on the 27th

That is the the Sync version you get with 1.7.1. It is possible that your truck has gotten 2.1.0 and 2.1.1 since those two updates don't give you a new Sync version. OTA 2.6.0 is the one that gives you Sync 22087 which would be the next one for you.

I am not very well informed, you could say ignorant. But how can I find out what Build # my truck is? I've done some searching but not having much luck.

It was "mostly" built in April 2021 but waited on chips for a while. It got to the dealer the end of July 2021. any help would be appreciated.

Not sure. I was going off of the OTA history thread. It is still a WIP, so it is possible some info there needs to be corrected.

Good luck, seeing lots of posts with people on that version. I am too and bought the Mongoose to try getting updated.

I joined the club. Purchased a BlueCruise capable 2021 Lariat stuck on 2.7.4. I called the Ford OTA support who told me to wait a week for the BC update. A week later they told me to wait a month because the 21G01 BlueCruise update is on hold.

I'm learning a lot from this forum, but is there any hope I do get an OTA update or will I have to manually update to get BlueCruise enabled?

I did the same thing. My OTA for BC came late last year. I had to install a new battery for one of the updates. Don’t remember which one.
