New differential cover and Amsoil fluids. Currently at 46k miles. I will be doing a new filter and fluids in the trans at 50k

Ended up upgrading my differential cover and fluids but found this piece of metal in the bottom of the differential. I didn’t see any signs of damage in the gears or signs that it has been moving around in it but it does concern me. What are your thoughts? It looks like cast metal but I’m no expert.

Love this set up. New tires on the truck and trailer. Installed some US made bearings and races myself so I have some peace and mind. The truck did excellent through the blue ridge mountains to our final destination of Luray, VA. Kids and family are going to have a blast! Happy Memorial Day weekend!
