How far from Milford? I am 3 hours from there but have a meeting in Milford soon. Just thinking on it. Have 44000 on my Goodyears with more than enough tread to get through the winter but will likely need something before next fall.
There are much more knowledgeable people on here than me, i.e. Snakebitten. But cold weather can affect battery performance, and I have come to blame low voltage anytime something starts acting "squirrely". I'd put it on the NOCO overnight.
I've done pretty well turning the motion sensor off as previously stated. I do have to respond if I am leaving Biskit in the truck but hasn't been too much of a pain as I got used to it. That said, I am not leaving her in the truck and locking it very often.
Update. Well at 3 weeks I was good. At 3 months, not so much. The gremlins are back. I've got a 2000-mile trip coming up in October, so planning to get an H7 in the next couple of weeks. I should add that it was a truck that sat, waiting on chips and is over 3 years on the road, but only 33,000...
There is a thread "No more battery problems". I was getting the "shutting down to save" screen fairly regularly unless I was on a road trip. I followed the instructions a couple months ago and everything including auto start/stop has been working even though some weeks I don't put 30 miles on...
Count me among the satisfied. I've had the annoying issues for nearly two years, I've got a 21 Lariat. Followed the directions about 3 weeks ago. I had good results right away but have put off posting to see if it lasted. It appears to be working great. Even with a week of only short 2 mile...
Pretty sure it is an option to just turn off the "welcome" lights if you want, at least in my 2021 Lariat. Although you may have to redo that setting after some of the updates. When working around the truck, I just leave the fob in the cup holder so it's not triggering.
I've used the owner's manual method successfully several times. When I let the dog ride up front on hunting trips, I turn off the passenger seat chime. Can turn it back on later. Just be patient and methodical. Doesn't hurt to do a couple "practice" runs.
Surprisingly, to me, I was able to power a 4 qt crock pot on the 1 1/2 hour drive to my sister's yesterday. I had not tried to power anything but my Milwaukee charger before.
Not too good at this. I'm having the same issue, but I can't seem to find how to DM. Any guidance you can give would be appreciated,
Think I figured out how to send a DM. Hopefully you got my VIN and dealer info.
Not that much of a "haul" about 3000 lb. But it handles it better than my 2002 5.4 V8 did. And, I think it looks really nice! Only got the Tow Tech because this is my largest load. Was apprehensive about the 2.7 when I got it, not now.
I am not very well informed, you could say ignorant. But how can I find out what Build # my truck is? I've done some searching but not having much luck.
It was "mostly" built in April 2021 but waited on chips for a while. It got to the dealer the end of July 2021. any help would be appreciated.
38 for mine. I thought it was a little high, but it was waiting on chips from April thru July 2021. So, no real idea of distance to move off site and back and if it got rotated during those months. But, not worried and very happy with the truck. Fortunately, no issues for almost a year and 9000...
I didn't like the sport interior or wheels and definitely wasn't going with chrome. Also, I preferred the 18" wheels and actually really like these. I was surprised and happy with how the chrome "blends" so well with the Iconic Silver. And I am very happy with the truck. 7500 miles, no issues...
I’m certain over 90% of mine needed seated. I have had 0 problems, but I have often wondered if many of the issues brought up in this forum were caused by “unseated fuses”. I was lucky to run across the recommendation in some other threads. Was sure I didn’t have the problem, till I checked...
