Hi,
I had the owners manual update applied the other day, and now my rear camera button doesn’t work anymore. I typically use this at low speeds when pulling through into a parking spot. Now my camera only comes on in reverse. Been searching around, but can’t find anything to make it work again.
Does anyone know if there’s something I can adjust in Forscan?
Thanks.

Yes, this has happened to many others as well. It's my understanding that something is configured incorrectly in the IPMA after one of the previous OTA's. . I think it can be re-enabled in Forscan, but I'm not sure. You should ask Jesse_infotainment in the FDRS thread he may be able to shed some light on the situation for everyone.

Correct, for FDRS you would need to purchase a Mongoose cable there about $530. I purchased one, as my 21 was hopelessly stuck with the 1.7.1 OTA problem in early 2022. It's pricey but it's a great tool to have in your arsenal and you can apply updates anytime you want by simply purchasing a 2 day FDRS license for $50. Dealers will not apply updates unless there's something wrong with the truck, so if you want to always run on the latest software you'll have to do it yourself and FDRS is the way to go. It's also fully compatible with Forscan. You may be able to find used ones on Ebay as many people update there trucks and sell the cable to recoup the $$.
I'm glad everything worked out OK for you today!
Thanks, I appreciate that. And the information....I have a lot of learning to do here. It's my first modern vehicle. I've been driving early-mid 90's JDM 4x4's for almost two decades. I still like them because they don't talk back ?

A new definition for APIM 7D0-02-02 xxx* xxxx xx-- has been added on the apim spreadsheet but changing this value will remove the black box on the reverse camera that says "full view not available"

Credit goes to @antho

If your current value is 0 then change to 1
If your current value is 4 change to 5
If your current value is 6 change to 7

Edit: this added to the common spreadsheet also
So I guess I misunderstood what this accomplished, I still have the "please check surroundings for safety" black box when I push the camera button. This isn't a fix for that, correct? And is there one?

About time! Had a friend (@cshoemake2226) just attempt this: didn’t have the value as stated above; his was a 2. If you have this or any even number, bump yourself up one to an odd. So for him, his was a 2, changed to 3 and bam, worked! ??

Here is what it says.

The Tolerance option shows up when you enable Speed Sign Recognition, it is part of the IACC system.

Update on using Predictive Speed Assist after driving 5 hours yesterday with it. It is really nice! It will even slow down a tad on certain sharp curves which is what I usually have to do anyways, so having the truck do that for me automatically is just that much nicer. I'm curious though if it is kinda a connect nav feature as much truck still has the trial active, so I'm curious what will happen when that ends.

Has anyone else tried this? I got this all set up last night and didn't notice anything different on my way to work this morning. Everything seamed normal.

First, kudos to livinitup for all this work. Well done! I have a question though. I bought the Fusion5 tablet for it's compatibility with Forscan but the tablet refuses to recognize the OBDLINK MX+ I have plugged into my truck.

I've connected the MX+ to my phone without issue and have deleted it from my Bluetooth list on my phone to ensure that it's set to discoverable before attempting to pair with the tablet. I've also successfully paired my phone with the tablet so I know the tablets' Bluetooth is working. Happy to send the damn thing back if it's a non starter but I'd prefer to troubleshoot a bit more first. I just seem to be out of ideas. Has anyone else run into this issue?

On your smartphone, isn't the pairing with the MX done with/through the OBDLink app itself, rather than manually with the smartphone Bluetooth settings app?

Yessir.

I just now found this. The 50/50 rear cams come up for me when I’m in reverse and click the trailer icon. I don’t think I had this view before. I had reverse guidance, but I don’t think I had the split view like this.

Is it possible to have this camera view show up when engage your turn signal? It would help with blind spot.

After several tries it's decided to start working. Disregard! Thank you!!
