It's been a while but I think I was able to enable fogs as drl in forscan on a 21 xl. I have since changed the drl to some led turn bulbs I installed as I couldn't find decent LED fog bulbs that didn't go bad after a few months. All that's to say I believe it's possible
To be clear, I'm not saying you guys are doing anything wrong, I just don't want you to make the same mistake I did after I got everything working originally. If I had known not to do an update through FDRS, I would still have a working HVAC module right now
No the wrong firmware made the module completely inaccessible, I could not load anything into it. Jesse tried to load the correct firmware and was not successful.
Just an FYI, if you ever do any updates via FDRS do not update the HVAC module. I upgraded my XL with an auto HVAC module, but when I did some updates it bricked because it tried to install the firmware for the original module. Had to reinstall the old module to get HVAC working again.
Mine did the same thing after not driving it for a couple weeks, even though I have it on a battery tender. Must just be a timing thing, I took it for a quick spin and everything is back to normal. Battery SOC has been around 95% for a while now, well before the battery saver message popped up.
Dakar is one of my favorite events, a great way to start off the new year of racing. Definitely cool that there's a factory ford team now, I know that one guy was running a privateer raptor for several years, but the m-sport team has some real pedigree.
Anyone looking to get rid of their 2024 xl headlights and grill, I'm interested in seeing if I can retrofit on my 2021. Really like those amber drl bars on the new lights.
Well unfortunately it looks like I fried the module. Jesse tried to help but it was beyond repair. Lesson learned, I didn't know not to update a module I added that wasn't original to the truck. Luckily I kept the original and was able to toss it back in, but I'll miss that auto HVAC function...
Started getting up to date on my 21 xl again, ran into a snag with the HVAC module. I swapped in a module with Auto HVAC a while back and just had to make some forscan changes to make it work. But in the process of doing some fdrs updates, an HVAC update seems to have bricked the HVAC module. It...
You can find specific instructions on https://www.motorcraftservice.com/InstructionSheets
It should list the correct procedure for the dealer using FDRS. My guess is they didn't install the module by the brake pedal, which looks the same as the one that is already there.
Yes I believe it's called engineering mode, I used it to calibrate my mpg to be more realistic. I can't remember exactly how to enter it, but I think there was a YouTube link posted somewhere that showed it, might have even been on a mustang.
Both name brand and off brand versions of this type of jump starter have swollen and died within a few years in my experience. I have now purchased a supercapacitor version which can withstand the long term non-use much better.
