Auto Climate Control Upfit to a STX

Did you ever get a part number? Want to do this to my 2023 XLT, I figure any unit from that year should work?

This is the part number I got. Ordered a used one on eBay for about $120

Anyone try this in a XL/STX as well or will I be the first tester? Just picked up some power heated seats and having the factory buttons work would be great.

Any update? I’m just starting down this road as well, ordered a hvac module, and am about to start ordering wiring components

Hey everyone!

I have added dual auto climate control to my 23 STX, but I keep getting code B11E6 in the HVAC module. This code is for the Right HVAC Damper Poistion Sensor Short to Battery or Open. I am assuming it is due to it not being there so I just need to code it out. I know the passenger side is for looks only and doesn't change anything. Everything else seems to work, the screen shows the temperature overlays and fan speed. Looking to see what in FORSCAN needs to change. TIA

I’ve purchased this module for my stx everything seams to work except the ac compressor will not come on and the button Dosent do anything if someone. An point me to a thread or the forscan changes to install this I would appreciate I cannot seam to find it anywhere thanks in advance

Just an FYI, if you ever do any updates via FDRS do not update the HVAC module. I upgraded my XL with an auto HVAC module, but when I did some updates it bricked because it tried to install the firmware for the original module. Had to reinstall the old module to get HVAC working again.

What changes did you make to the HVAC module? If you dont modify it for auto, it isn't going to work.

I’ve not made any changes can’t find any info on it the unit I purchased was new and can’t find any spread sheets to help my truck already has auto function just wanted to add the nicer controls and eventually heated steering wheel sence I have the raptor wheel

No the wrong firmware made the module completely inaccessible, I could not load anything into it. Jesse tried to load the correct firmware and was not successful.

To be clear, I'm not saying you guys are doing anything wrong, I just don't want you to make the same mistake I did after I got everything working originally. If I had known not to do an update through FDRS, I would still have a working HVAC module right now
