Auto Climate Control Upfit to a STX

Just wondering, can you just swap in a unit with the temp in the dials on a xlt? Or does it require a forscan change? Is there a way to get the temp indicator on the 12 inch screen to go away if you make this change to the dials or does it know somehow?

Just did this upgrade to my 2023 F150 XLT. It did not require any Forscan changes but I did enable temperature repeater overlay and disabled dual zone. I used this part which I believe came in 21-22 but worked fine on my 23. ML3T-18C612-AE. If you get the 23+ one the knobs don't have the displays.

It depends on if the HVAC module is coded or not. You are best to modify both that and the APIM so that they work with each other.

Yeah you should be able too do both.

It depends on if the HVAC module is coded or not. You are best to modify both that and the APIM so that they work with each other.

Hm the HVAC module is only as built format which I don’t feel as comfortable in. I’ll have to check this out later

Looks great. Any reason why you didn't replace the stereo unit with it?

How bad was the install? Just dash and console trim, correct?

I definitely want to stereo controls too! I just need to find a good used set. Those black knobs gotta go!

Going to need to do this… not sure what they were thinking with the shitty looking knobs after making the infotainment screen standard across all trims. Only worried as I’m a bull in a china shop when it comes to removing trim.

I was lookin at the radio controls on eBay looks like there’s few diffrent options some had dull looking silver knobs and one of the buttons had a diffrent icon so make sure a deal isn’t on the incorrect one

I’ve purchased this module for my stx everything seams to work except the ac compressor will not come on and the button Dosent do anything if someone. An point me to a thread or the forscan changes to install this I would appreciate I cannot seam to find it anywhere thanks in advance
