Also if you ever decide to retrofit any features from other trim levels, you'll probably need Forscan if any electronics are involved.

You have better payload, better sound, better off road. It's better at being a truck. ?
Thats true. I'd love some of the features only on higher trims
O don't get me wrong I absolutely love my truck. Wish I could get a few extra features but overall happy with it as is

On the XL it really just depends how particular you are, forscan was worth it for me for several annoyances such as the headlights defaulting to auto or the passenger seatbelt alarm being set off by my dog.

Some neat things I did find on my STX:
-Enabled fog lamps as cornering lamps, at low speeds with turn signal or wheel turned the fog lamp will illuminate on the side you are turning
-Enabled lane keep alert sensitivity adjustment, the system is locked to "enhanced" unless you use forscan. It's annoying that way but I didn't want to turn it off completely (no officer, I did not cross the line)
-Disabled instrument cluster splash screen since the truck doesn't even match

I'm sure I'll find more as I play around but don't want to go too crazy on a brand new truck just yet

I did not know you could do the cornering lamps like that thats pretty cool. Main thing I'd like is Bambi mode , global windows , and now the cornering lamps.
Not gonna lie just scared to mess with FORScan and mess something up. I'm old and not too good with computers. Lol

As long as you don’t go into the as built sections it’s hard to mess it up. You just go into the module, select what you want to change and choose the option you want from a menu. Just back up first so if something goes wrong you can restore the original settings.
