Forscan - Disable Auto Start/Stop on 2024

Just a little more info, does the entire ass/camera assembly slide out? Just the ass button? Don't understand how to plug in the eliminator?

The green piece comes out with the 2 switches as one assembly. There is one plug for both switches that the eliminator goes inline with.

OK, little more help here. Got the front trim off, can see the top of the assembly and the two "tabs" that hold it in place. How do they hold? Tried lifting one and seeing if the switch would wiggle. Nope, not the first sign on moving. Is there a tool to lift the tabs or does the dash need to come apart to get to the switch?

I removed the top plate above the radio and was able to unplug the switch from the back and install the in line eliminator from there. Scroll down on the website for the video

That top plate does not expose the back of the switch. The dash cover drops down to meet the top of the radio. There is no way to see the back of the switch. I'm about ready to call it on this....

Guys, I have the same issue. I got Bambi mode and extra turn signal flashes on my new 2024 King Ranch, but Auto Start / Stop isn't working. I'd also love to get rid of the seatbelt reminder chime. Any new news on ASS? Also, has anyone tried the numbers that Hyins posted?

Read on another blog that they were able to trick the BMS into keeping the A.s.s. Deactivated.

The computer thinks the little wire has been detached from the battery.

Perhaps this upcoming weekend I'll get to play with adding a cap to the start/stop switch to see if it's a simple $5 method for disabling it. For those with it as a simple test, before hitting "start" hold down the button, start the truck, and continue holding the button for a TOTAL of 5 seconds to see if the simple cap method will work.

I gave that quick fix a try but it didn't work for me. I wonder why the 2024 F150 is taking quite a while to be up to date with Forscan. These guys that work this stuff up do a killer job. I guess I'm as anxious to get a couple more things changed as everybody else.

You do not have to get to the back of the actual switch. Use a small flat screwdriver and release the tab at each end of the green piece in your picture. The entire green piece will slide out of the dash and the eliminator plugs into the green piece.

The video fordtruckman2003 posted, Go to 2:17 and watch those few minutes. At 2:20 they show you the back side of the switch and the tab you squeeze and pull the plug out of the switch. Then one side of the harness plugs into the back of the switch, and then the plug you removed goes into the other harness plug of the device. I actually had to edit this. Is your Lariat a special trim level? As I looked at your photo I notice the pleather covering wrapped around and there's a 7 mm screw on the vertical face of the dash behind the front trim you removed. Can you get a picture of you top dash section there? My Lariat didnt have that, just the top pocket which had a lip that slid under the front bezel exactly as the video shows.

I installed the 4D tech module on my 2024 Lariat. Simply remove the glovebox and its plug and play. I get a one second message on engine start telling me auto stop start has been disabled. The off light on the upper dash remains on. Neither of those bother me in the least.

I take it no one has found the FORSCan changes to disable Auto Start/Stop on the MY24 F-150s yet? I know the AS/S changes on the spreadsheet won’t work on the 2024.
