Forscan - Disable Auto Start/Stop on 2024

It’s held on with clips like the illustration shows. I haven’t installed the eliminator yet but I’ve removed that trim piece from a few different 24 model trucks.

So even though the trim piece if different it pulls straight out?

Thank you for sharing, I might resort to this option if I cannot disable in Forscan. Obviously, I’d rather use the Forscan route seeing how I don’t have to purchase anything - I could also turn off the “off” light on the dash.

I installed this on my 2024 XL and it works great.

Ah, I forgot the higher trims had a slightly different bezel. Looking at it should pull straight off the same way.

It does pull straight out. Just very tight. But even when I take the trim off and take the dash tray out, I still can't get to the back of the auto start/stop switch to install the AutoStop Eliminator.

Looks like I will have to take out the bezel around the display to get to the switch

Sadly also tried the same Forscan tweaks on my 2024 501A to disable Auto Stop/Start with no luck

It does pull straight out. Just very tight. But even when I take the trim off and take the dash tray out, I still can't get to the back of the auto start/stop switch to install the AutoStop Eliminator.

Looks like I will have to take out the bezel around the display to get to the switch

J929626 pull the trim piece back off. Look straight down from the top, you will see a green piece that holds the start stop button and the camera button. There is a clip release on each end of the green piece to release it. Now you can plug in the eliminator and snap everything back together.

I can vouch for the 4D Tech auto start eliminator. It comes up in the off position when installed. It is plug and play. Very easy to do. I can turn it on if I want to, which I don't.

Looking at the diagram, simply putting a small capacitor on pin 4 with ground on pin 3 should be enough to 'mimic' a button push upon startup.

Read on another blog that they were able to trick the BMS into keeping the A.s.s. Deactivated.

The computer thinks the little wire has been detached from the battery.

I ordered the 4D Tech. The dash doesn't have to be disassembled. It plugs in behind the glove box which requires not tools. It has not been delivered yet but looks like it takes about 2 minutes to install.

Just a little more info, does the entire ass/camera assembly slide out? Just the ass button? Don't understand how to plug in the eliminator?

I've been using the AutoStop Eliminator for a couple of years on my '21 F-150. It remembers the last setting (Auto Stop/Start either on or off) when the truck is turned off and on. No ForScan changes were required. It works great!
