Did you install the PCM? If so, what strategy is it on now?

I think the BCM update changes the way the 12v charging system works; can't say for sure. For the EV's, it enabled WAL, but I don't think it does much for us. You can't do it without a dealer login anyway.

I plan to install it later today. How do I tell the stategy? I can check it out and let you know.

I know the BCM needs a PW but the BCMC didn't I noticed.

Once you install the update, go here and find the PCM. Whatever is says under software p/n is the strategy.

I was on the phone with Livernois yesterday to see if I can get the tune with the new strategy from them before I update my PCM so I don't have to wait a few days without the tune. Turns out, the way they do it now, the new tune uploaded itself to my tuner on its own when I plugged into it with my laptop. Anyway, I downloaded the PCM files for VIN from FDRS and the strategy is LUL as of two days ago. Just curious if you get the same one.

I’m doing updates as we speak. Does anyone know how long the GWM update takes? I’ve had it going on the usb for almost 2 hours but never got the reboot required. I did get the indication on sync not to remove the usb.

No where near that long. If it has been in there that long, it is not doing anything. Try resetting the GWM.

Could you post the full strategy? The last three characters of the one you downloaded suggest that it’s older than mine, and mine was applied more than a year ago. Mine: ML3A-14C204-VGJ.

Difference might also be due to the fact that I have a PB.

Sunday morning here, just signed up and bought the 2-day license. I'm getting the login error which may be the typical Sunday issue some have reported. But I'm not getting the "Non-Dealer Motorcraft" option in the drop down menu. Besides "Dealer Employee" which I know not to choose, I'm getting either "Independent Operator / Non-Dealer" or "Non-Dealer ETIS". When I click the ETIS one I get a window to enter the login and password I just created on the motorcraft site, but I get the user authentication error. When I click the Independent Operator one it seems to send me to the Ford site to enter my Ford email and password. That sends me to a separate error page.

Is my problem that I'm not getting the "Non-Dealer Motorcraft" choice in the drop down menu or is it ok to click the ETIS choice and I'm getting the typical Sunday BS.

When I do that I get this login screen. Is this what I should get? It demands an email but I signed up on the Motorcraft site with a login name, not an email. When I enter my Ford email and password below, I get the error below.

I believe you'll need to login into your ford account there first with your Ford account same as you use for FordPass, then logging into FDRS you can use the motorcraft FDRS login name and password you created. Separately from your Ford account.

OK thanks, but when I tried to enter my Ford account info in the window I showed above, I got the error message. Why would my Ford account info not work there? I tried it separately on ford.com and I logged in successfully there.

Im not sure, you should be able to use the same credentials for all Ford sign ins. ?

it just takes time for the username to sync from ford.com to FDRS after you activate the license. Give it a few hours.

Thanks. I tried this: When clicking Log In in FDRS, instead of entering my usual ford.com / Fordpass login info, I clicked "Create Account". I created a new account which linked to www.motorcraftservice.com. Now when I enter that new login info in FDRS it thinks a little longer and gives me the "User Authentication has Failed" error as opposed to the Error: Page Not Found error I posted a screenshot of in my previous post. So maybe it's the Sunday issue or like you say it takes some time for everything to "Sync" up (pun intended) on their servers.

No, your ford.com login should work.
