After chatting with Jesse I bit the bullet and ordered a cheap APIM and cable from ebay from a totaled vehicle that matches my year and trim. Will program it via FDRS and give it a shot since Ford won't replace it since they say its good based on no codes. But have to try. Will show up...

Hi Kanuck, That's exactly what the dealer originally did, put in a brand new screen and nothing changed. So that's why everyone is at a loss.

So I installed the IPMA/PSCM updates I was missing so I can activate BC 1.4 but the PSCM keeps appearing as an update that I need. The IPMA (after 2 hrs!) disappeared. Can you tell in FDRS if the module has the current version in place? If it is updated properly what in Forscan do I need to...

Thanks for looking this up! Which of these module updates are required for BC 1.4? Have the Mongoose now and FDRS software just haven't bought a license and started yet. Never seen and OTA attempt since you initially posted this for me but many they have not tried to send again yet.

So had it at the dealer today. The are replacing the screen. Apparently there is a module inside there that can cause these issues I am experiencing? Not the APIM? Will find out in a day or 2 I guess.
