It's not going to void the warranty. The owner's manual acknowledges that "hybrid vehicles could exceed 10,000 mi". I just changed mine at 8,400 mi and the OLM said 30% life left. I sent the sample to Blackstone - I bet I could have gone several thousand more miles.
Your vehicle comes with...
Farley says Going forward, the full-size F-150 will be offered with three options under the hood: a gas-only engine, a mild hybrid, and an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) that runs on electricity but uses an onboard gas generator on long trips.
So the PowerBoost is sticking around...
Mine also seems infrequent and random, or I haven't noticed the pattern yet. By the way this chime is common on most Ford vehicles. My '22 Explorer also does it (every time). I've even heard it on TV shows.
Apples and oranges I think. Yesteryear's Lariat is probably totally stripped down compared to today's Lariat. Compare it to today's XLT and you're still getting a far better truck today for $52k.
I love these "From The Archive" reviews on caranddriver.com. Really puts things in perspective I think. Here's a review of a 2002 Ram Quad Cab (supercab equivalent). 235hp V8, 8.8sec 0-60, pretty much no tech. All for the low low sticker price of $28,775. BUT when you convert to 2025 dollars...
I assume you mean "sure some trims would let me get a super cab crew and 6.5" bed, but that makes the truck quite a bit longer"
They did announce 2WD will be available again with the higher trims for '26. Doesn't look like it'll be available with the PowerBoost at any trim level though.
I was surprised to see my Sync updated to 25094 directly from 23291 without me even realizing it. I just checked my About Sync screen while waiting at a stoplight and there it was. I assumed 1) that would've been an APIM update that required a USB drive (it didn't) and 2) it would've updated...
Did it only happen with a good headwind? I have something similar - half second hum/buzz only a handful of times on a long drive, but I'm sure it's the seal between the driver and rear doors getting buffeted by the wind. It's loose and I need to figure out how to replace it.
What are the top 5 adjustments you recommend in Forscan for an overall improved ownership experience? I don't have any complaints with my '21 Lariat PB (non-Bluecruise). Just wondering if there are adjustments I don't even know I want before I sell my Mongoose cable.
I was bummed to find out...
I come from sedans and crossovers with generally firmer, small seats. I love my Lariat seats. No comfort issues over 3-4 hour drives. I asked my wife should we take her Explorer or my F-150 on a 4-hour trip and she said hands down the F-150. Seats are so comfortable. And my brother, who owns...
On one hand I would like to do a drain and fill in my garage. Someone talk me into it. :) I do my own oil changes and have done brakes and struts before. But I don't know, this is probably one I'm happy to pay a dealer to do. Getting up in that tight space where the plug is with the super hot...
Wow, according to Car and Driver the F-150 "is seeing its production cut by over half." That's huge and very bad news for Ford. Though potentially good news for our resale values.
Stellantis being affected too with the Wagoneer line idled for at least a couple of weeks.
Kinda hard to believe...
