I am going to try a solution I found for the battery going into "save mode" so much, by resetting the BMS.

I need to charge the battery to full first. I was going to just use a regular battery charger, but I am getting conflicting information on whether I can. Is it still okay to use a regular charger on an AGM?

What AGM charger do you use? I'm not really sure what I am looking for with my truck if I need to get one.

UPDATE: From some additional searching. It appears that a regular battery charger is fine as long as I don't let it go above 15 volts? Sound right?

I used a regular charger in the 2A trickle mode overnight and it worked great. I think the max voltage was 15.2v.

Afterwards I reset the BMS and then I received 2 OTA updates in the next few days.

What voltage did you end up at before you know the battery is fully charged?

Most if not all chargers that charge agm batteries are automatic microprocessor controlled and you don't have to monitor them.

Noco, solor prologix, and schumacher are popular chargers but any agm charger will do the job.

C-Tek is the only OEM approved charger for most manufacturers I'm aware of. I've fried some lead acid batteries with "automatic" trickle chargers of other brands. Ford Performance has a rebranded C-Tek.

I didn’t check. I just let it charge for 15 hours, unhooked it and reset the BMS.

I have 5 Noco's for different batteries. Truck, quad, zero turn and a couple of stand by batteries. No problems.

I charge my battery every other week because my truck sits a lot and does short drives. Just make sure you put the chargers battery clamp on the side of the amp meter sensor away from the negative battery terminal so that the BMS can pick up the incoming current and record it. I sometimes use a regular battery charger on the 10 amp setting for 1/2 hour, or until it gets to 14 volts, or amperage on the charger drops significantly, or I use my battery tender overnight. An AGM battery is still a lead acid battery.

I have a NOCO 5a and a 1a
They stop charging when fully charged
They will then monitor and maintain

Got a NOCO Genius 5 recently.
My Noco arrived yesterday. I also have Battery Tenders, but my new Harley Odyssey battery requires 2.7 Amps minimum (Got the 5 Amp version), and the Noco goes into maintainer mode after being charged. A bunch of my friends recommended Noco chargers and car starters.
